How do I get my PIP to work on my Sharp HD TV with a Time Warner HD Cable Box?

I just got a new Sharp HD TV (model LC-42D64U) with a Time Warner HD Cable Box (Explorer 4250HDC), and I can't figure out how to work the PIP. Can anyone help me?

PIP requires that you have TWO sources connected to the TV. In your case, one source is the set-top box and the other one can be the DVD , the VCR, etc.
Press PIP on the remote and follow the instructions.
