What's even more amazing is that many of them think they should be in charge of the government.

Remember that the next time you step into the voting booth.

I'm going to 'fess up right now and say that I was brought up from birth to believe that the 'Great Tribulation' was just around the corner (since the 1960's). I thought this would be good, because I was going to survive it. Everybody else (that is to say, those who were not Jehovah's Witnesses) would die.

Happily, I am now released from all that stuff and have become a Christian. The Christians I associate with pray for God's kingdom to come and for God's will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven, but they do NOT pray for a speedy 'Tribulation'.

Anyway, no-one knows the day or the hour - it's all in God's hands and not for us to speculate. The important thing is to draw close to God NOW while he can still be found. Sometimes people overlook God's plan for salvation, how he wants us to come to him. But we're too proud.

For anyone to pray for the world to end and for people to die is un-christian.

I read every one of the answers of the link you posted and there is not one answer that even suggests Christians "pray" for the tribulation to come. So, I really don't know how you came up with your question.

I'm sorry you find some of our Christian beliefs creepy. If you don't believe in salvation by Jesus Christ then I can understand where you might think they are creepy. The purpose of the rapture or catching away of Christians by Jesus Christ is to reunite Christians to Christ and take us to Heaven where we will live for the rest of eternity. The hope we are given from this event makes the Christian yearn for it to happen soon. You have to realize that Heaven is home and we want to live there. If you don't believe all this, then you have no hope for the future.

properly if God replied you in an audible term the international could diagnose you with schizophrenia. God hears your prayers and can answer them in many approaches. via people, Holy spirit guiding your existence to a definite place, dream messages, etc God can say yeas ,No , possibly, later etc. fairly some prayers are replied in accordance to our desires. even although we can not see the line till now us the place god can. Pray thay Gods will will become sufficient on your existence. He can see the traps. you could pray for a courting with some you like yet God may even see the traps. The Bible says the prayers of the righeous are effective, The Bible says He turns his face on evil doers. The Bible tells us to prefer gradually. So the way l sense approximately it rather is keep on with the instructions. I chatter to God informally generally and characteristic interceded in a extra formal way. On knees or on my face etc I even have seen prayers replied yet interior the tip god knows acceptable whether l do no longer understand or perhaps trust the effect. We purely see the outdoors of the situation. have confidence God that he knows the acceptable effect.

Hey, we are NOT all nutjobs! Not all of us are like that, just as I know not all atheists want us to be fed to the lions, tortured, etc.

I would not pray for the tribulation at all.

Why do some of you make such generalizations? It is like me making the generalization that all atheists think we are worthless pieces of trash because one or two people said so.

never. Christians do not pray for torture and death. They pray for peace and healing. Why would anyone pray for death and torture for loved ones that do not yet believe? That is a stupid question.
