are natural flavor powders that you add to drinks like iced tea really natural and good for you? are they not artificial flavors?

Since oranges and cherries don't "naturally" come in powdered form, the term "natural flavor" stretches the meaning a bit.

However, the powder probably DOES contain ingredients derived from the genuine, natural product, so, can put some claim to the adjective. Whatever ELSE is included in the "natural flavor" substance, we don't know, but, unless you grow your own food, very little of what we eat is, truely, 100% natural.

If it is called a natural flavor, then it was extracted from a natural source, usually by distilling the essence from a fruit or herb or such. Just because it is "natural" doesn't mean it is good or bad for you. Same is true for artificial flavor.
