I don't know the right thing to do because them texting me makes me feel a little mad. They broke up with me, and after the breakup, I tried very hard to stay friends, but felt like they blew me off. We were really close, but I got hurt very badly and don't want to go through that again...

i know you have no reason to trust a total stranger when i say "trust me!", but believe me when i say that door have been closed for a REASON! leave the door closed, especially after having put forth effort into a friendship that only slapped you in the face! are you kidding me. walk away from the closed door knowing that you are the better person. you have a lot more to offer than that person ever will! know that, and believe it and dont be pulled into more unecessary drama. life is too short for bs. walk away my friend, wether that person claims to have changed or not. P.S...trust me ;)

Your feelings are understandable and they must think that you have already moved on and you wouldn't feel weird talking to them again. If they keep talking to you they still want to be friends and stay connected. You say you want to stay friends so it makes sense :] Just try talking to them and if you start to get feelings for them again...maybe you should try just not talking to them for a while and try talking to other guys or just hang out with your girlfriends and forget about guys just for a bit. :] You don't always have to have a boyfriend, most of the time girls want boyfriends for comfort and loving touches and words. So just block that stuff out for a while, go out to a spa or something and have a relaxing time, no guys :D

Well, in my opinion, texts are ways of communicating without much priority (you'll get to it when you can), if you want to be friends but not too close, thats the way to do it. Just dont answer phone calls or at least make them short so he doesnt hurt you anymore. Be distant and you may not get hurt.

hope this helps

The best thing to do is ignore the text. They may only text you once just to see if you are still interested, but whose to say they won't hurt you again. There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

I went through the SAME thing recently. My boyfriend broke up with me the day before our 5th month. Just try to be friends. If he wont let that heppen move on. Its for the best. Its not happening with me and my ex so I moved on and I feel great.

I would recall as to why they are an ex and leave it alone.
Some guys enjoy there ego being boosted by woman
calling them in turn they blow you off. Tell him you have
moved on and you hope he has a good life.

His loss honey, I know your a nice person like me but trust me
I have had my heart broken many times.

Question: "What do you do if an ex texts you casually out of the blue?"

Answer: Delete it and go on with the day.

Well, let them know that. I still talk to my exes without a problem, but we didn't have messy breakups. Thats a personal decision. Keep it casual!!

tell that person that when they neglected you, it hurt you and you dont want to go through that again. And of course they'll try to pull that "well ive changed" stuff but if you feel you should buy it than go for it.

i know that sounds a little sentimental, but its one of the best things to do

part of being a grown up is moving on and getting over what happened and then being able to say hello casually to them. wait til you get married have kids then get divorced you will have no choice but to have some kind of relationship with him.....just stay strong and deal with it.
