At this point in time, it is logically to determine that.

However, there are many theories; the most popular being eternity in either Heaven or Hell, or simple nothingness.

Personally, I believe in the "nothingness."

We cannot know because even those who have had near death experiences and have either gone to "Heaven" or "Hell" may in fact have only been subjected to hallucinations as their brain was starving for oxygen and electronic neurons were misfiring everywhere. No living person can say with any authority what comes after death...for certainty the grave for a while...

As to belief however....I believe in the Bible, and it tells us succinctly that there is an afterlife. Those in Christ will get to go to Heaven for a while and then help to create the new Earth...those who are judged as unworthy and never wanted Heaven or anything to do with God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit will be obliterated forever into the nothingness they chose, along with all sin and the devil himself. So in the long run...everyone gets what they want. I guess you can say I believe I know...but like life, death is a mystery that will only be unveiled in its due time.

According to translation, hell is in fact a seperation from God...there is a lake of fire and the devil and his minions may inhabit it, but as for eternal torment in Hell where the devil and demons are feeding off pain and torment of the damned is completely fallacious. I could go on and on...but most don't care, and if they do, do as I did and study and research...it's great for the soul!

Blessings! Pami ^_^

I believe that there is something after death, i hear different stories of experiences from people who have had near death experiences and have also experienced things myself since the age of 10. We wont know for sure until its our time but its nice to think that there could be something beyond this life.

While some believe it's impossible to know whether there is life after death, belief in immortality is timeless. People of all times and places in history have believed that the human soul survives death. If there is no consciousness beyond the grave, then life has fooled almost everyone from the Pharaohs of Egypt to Jesus of Nazareth.

When we talk about rebirth or reincarnation, some people laugh at the idea. They consider such belief is passe and obsolete. Others may think such question is in arena of religion. After all, it concerns what is after death.

No one can answer that question with any truth because no one REALLY knows. You'll find out when you get there, assuming there is something after death to be aware of. If not then you won't know anything about it anyway.

Nobody knows. Whilst Christians believe in heaven many people think atheists believe there is nothing but that is entirely wrong. Being open minded they recognize that we may go on to a higher plane or spiritual existence - they just do not believe in a god.

What is important though is to live a good life here and now and not waste all your time and energy waiting for an afterlife that may well just not be there!!!

I read one of your answers and he said simply- no one knows, whoever says he know is lieing. Well he believes in himself, I KNOW where I am going and KNOW where I can go after that. When we die our spirits stay here on earth. Our spirits are waiting to be resurrected. Where was Christ for two days before his resurrection? Other scriptures say he was in the spirit world preaching to those who died from the time of Adam.

What he really did was to call the spirit Prophets and others good people who were good people and called them to be missionaries to those who had sinned on earth. Now may you ask why preach to them if they can't be healed, or baptised? Baptism is required to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Well Paul knew the answer in 2nd Cor I think 15: In speaking to the corinthians about the resurrection he said. "Why else are they baptised for the dead if the dead not rise" Well the dead do rise, so baptism for the dead is necessary. Only once church on earth performs that function. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Anyway When Christ comes those good people in the spirit world will come forth in the first resurrection, and live in the Millenium. They are resurrected beings. When the Millenium Starts good people alive, will stay alive and complete their life in the millenium. Living people will continue to have babies. All babies who died on earth, will come forth to be raised. Contrary to some churches who say that we die in sin so a child will go to purgatory if he or she dies before baptism. That is unfair and simply not true.

Those who are alive during the millenium, when they get to be 100 years old will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. We will be resurrected with a perfect body, just like one born during the time of adam where bodies were more perfect and could live for a long time.

Then at the end of the 1000 years we will be judged and go to the Celestial Kingdom (Johns revelation and others) and live with God. The Terrestial kingdom and live with good people but not perfect. or the Telestial and live with murders, liers, cheaters, adulterers, and those who love evil more than good. Here your neighbor might be Hitler or some rapist or some one.

That is about all there is to it and I testify it is true in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
