Should the government have plans in case of zombie outbreak?

While reading the global warming questions, I often come across, "Well, we should be doing it anyway because it's a good idea." It occurs to me then, that to be honest, these people should use the same logic to prepare for any possibility, "because it's a good idea". So we need plans to protect against zombies, robots, aliens, rips in the fabric of time...

All it takes is a virus “like the rabies virus to infect people, you know how the rabies virus makes animals want to bite every thing, well a mutated form that makes people want to bite everything. It is because of the Chinese Type S-33 Regression virus.
Movies like I am Legend, Dawn of the Dead, Resident evil, 28 day/weeks later, etc. are all just movies to prepare you for this. They are like entertaining educational movies.

Also listen up real close, the government WILL nuke any major cities or massively populated area that has the virus, they do this to contain the virus, so you all need bomb shelters.

Spear
Machete
Shotgun-with ALLOT of ammo.
Gas mask- it could become air born for short amounts of time.
Alcohol- so if you have to chop your arm off by getting bit you can also use the alcohol to increase your chances of survival.
Hand gun
Nuclear bomb shelter – THEY WILL NUKE THE PLACE!!!!!! So try to leave as fast as possible!
Water purifiers
Bio chemical suit- what will you do if bugs like mosquitoes are able to carry the virus?

Practice with all of those

Optional helpful items

Machine gun – preferably an AGS-30 automatic air-cooled, belt fed, advanced primer ignition blowback operated machine gun/ and grenade launcher.
Land mines
Tanks
Mortars – “M-80s are over rated”
Fence- with razor wire
More guns “AK-47, MP5K, H&K, AR-15, SIG 552, etc.
Car
Armor
Hand crank generator

So don’t sit in your house and expect to defend it if your in the city, or in the blast radius of a nuclear bomb.

Also watch out for A.C.K .A.C.K

I would be in my bomb shelter, after then blasting away.

But if for some reason they don’t nuke the place, get in a fortified area or on a roof and reach down to stab them in the head with the spears I hope you got.
Humanity has a possibility to survive, as long as animals don’t get infected either.
Ill be fine, I'm a very good shot and I am an expert about this kind of stuff.

I feel quite sure that in the archives of all the government agencies are the very plans of which you speak.

At some time, some government agents would have carfully put together plans for defending against a Martian invasion. These plans have been shelved because - there aren't any Martians.

Zombies - well there's probably a plan for them somewhere a s well as robots. Rips in the fabric of time? - well, that would violate the second law of thermodynamics so it won't happen. There's probabably a plan of action never the less.

Thats a good point. I guess scientists just don`t find those things as likely. They`ll be sorry if any of it happens but people never care until its too late. Global warming is becoming a problem, so people are just starting to care now. They probably won`t do anything major about it until the climate change causes flooding and disasters.

Yes, adequate preparation by the Nation to preempt a zombie attack is necessary. Here in Michigan we, at the local level, have been spending much time on this.

In order to keep from being eaten by zombies, one must have shelter that is appropriate. Bars on the windows, no chance for a zombie to come up through the basement, etc.

A prominent scientist has predicted zombie attacks on Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw during the first three months of 2008.

We as a Nation should unite, and expend all efforts necessary to avoid this threat. Keep in mind, if you are eaten by a zombie, you become a zombie as well. This threat is communicable, and greatly expands with each subsequent attack.

I knew i wasnt the only one. Stocking up on bullets cause with zombies it takes one shot to the head and there done. Stocking up on water for drinking and to throw at the aliens. Nor worried about the robots just pull the pull or rip out there jelly like centers. As far as rips in time to you think it will keep me young. lol

i'm not sure i understand the question....
but if you mean the government is wasting money on preparing or attempting to protect future generations from the "terrible dangers" of global warming you are right.
if one read the details of the Kyoto Protocol the UN is on board with, one would find it's frame work is sloppy. it's way to expensive and will give little result, there are more cost effective ways to handle the situation.
if you mean the government is wasting tax payers money by preparing for some unrealistic threat.... you should probably reexamine what you knew about global warming.

I can see the Zombie problem getting worse with no relief in sight, so I feel it would be a very good idea. But I feel the private sector should do it, since when the government gets their hands on it the make a big bureaucratic mess.

I am not sure if zombies like Nancy Pelocy, Ried, and other living dead in Congress could be trusted to deal with the zombie menace. It is likely they would provide welfare payments to the sick zombies, citizenship to any baby zombies born here, and suggest the US needs more zombies. Give us your poor, your tired and hungry zombies.

I have my own plan. Through extensive research, I found that zombies enjoy being at the mall. Don't go there. If you must, try to get to one with lots of guns and ammo. Zombies are stupid and just go "uggghhh" and if someone starts talking normally, it's OK, just go and see if they have bites, scratches, etc.

The Government needs to do something soon because we are heading for a Revolution . . . It's just a matter of time and you will be hearing the big guns and feeling the ground shake . . . Several hundreds of thousands of American Citizens are going to die over a period of approximately 5-6 years . . . We can just take so much lying . . . And then lying to cover up other lying.
