I recently asked a question about a perfect god creating a harsh world. One answer i found interesting said that due to the fall of man at the Garden of Eaden, God cursed the Earth which is why we have starvation, disease, pain sorrow, etc. So my question now is, if God cursed mankind to an etenity of evil and darkness, why are Christian people still worshiping him like he's lord of all that is good? I'm not trying to make anybody mad i'm just lookin for answers, thanks.

I think that many are of the impression that though life on Earth is cursed by God, life in Heaven is still a viable source of the future. If they endure Earth as best they can, and support God's word as they do so, they'll be rewarded with an eternity of joy and happiness.

First of all, great question! I love your honest searching! The short answer to this question is this: Because God is all-knowing, He already knew, even before He created even the first speck of dust on the earth, that man would sin. And just to clarify, God NEVER cursed man, He cursed the SIN that man committed, because He knew that the sin itself would bring horror upon God's perfect earth. (And it has! Just watch the news!) - At that point, God had to deal with the sin, so He had Adam kill an animal, and use it's blood to "cover" his sin. (this gets more in depth when you learn more about how making a covenant works - no room to explain here) So, anyway, before God even created Man, He already had a perfect plan to save man from his sins, and from the effects of it as well. He decided - BEFORE creation, that He would send His Son Jesus, to be the perfect sacrifice for sin. So, in the fulness of time - just at the right time - God sent His perfect, blameless, sinless Son, to become the ultimate and perfect sacrifice for our sin. Remember the animal I mentioned before? Well, Jesus became the Lamb of God, who shed His blood, and washed us clean of all of our sin. THIS my dear friend, is why we worship Him as the God of all that is good and holy. He knew our need before we even had it, and He provided for that need in a most perfect way. If you have ever been forgiven by a friend or a loved one for something stupid that you did, then you know how good that feels. Just think of how good it feels to those of us who have asked, and received forgiveness from God for EVERYTHING that we have ever done wrong!! It's the greatest experience on earth! THAT is why we worship Him! I encourage anyone who is reading this to ask God for forgiveness from your sin, and let Him cleanse you, and ask Jesus to live in you, and be in you all your days! You'll never be the same! Again, super question!

The fall of man was in fact a good thing for us after all. It caused man to be given mortal life in order to gain eternal progression. This life can be very hard yet it's a probationary state. We are subjected to the laws of this world and dimension or universe. We are also cut off from our lord here except it be through faith and prayer as well as ordnance's and covenants.

Lucifer or Satan caused objections in Heavenly Fathers plan ("the plan of salvation"). Those of us that chose God's plan are every living person on the Earth. It's our 1st estate. We must enter into a probationary state so we can progress into the eternities.

We once lived with our Father in Heaven in what many call "the pre-existence". Yet we were creations that did not progress because we were only as we were created. We were not equal spirits. The greatest spirits during this time were Jesus Christ and Lucifer (the bringer of light). We had a war the resolution to bring to pass our salvation is to gain a mortal body. The goal of our father in heaven is to bring to pass the immortally of man.

Yet the plan is very hard many will reject God's plan and in fact many of the dead are in spiritual prisons rejecting God's plan. We are free to chose the will of God or to reject it just as Satan did. We are given free agency and we are subjected to a world that is the most wicked world of them all.

All I can say is most things worth having requires hard work. We are being tested in a probationary state and in a mortal life what we do here will set a precedence for our eternal existence. It's hard, there is a lot of pain but life is a ordnance that is required for eternal progression.

God did not create sorrow, disease, hunger, war, etc...PEOPLE did that, and then blamed God, or else blamed other people whose views of God differed from their own, and hence were/are incorrect. Honestly, there's more than enough of everything to go around on this planet so poverty SHOULD be a non-issue, we are more than capable of curing all disease but I guess our governments think that our money is better spent elsewhere...wars and vacations and multiple estates for the politicians...none of this is God's fault. It's our fault for being so complacent and apathetic and greedy.

i admire gardening too! I in basic terms love planting vegetation and flora of each variety. And, i admire planting vegetables too! i'm a Sagittarius this is a hearth sign, yet my moon sign is Taurus this is an earth sign. My turning out to be sign is Capricorn this is an earth verify besides. So i assume this is why i admire gardening. possibly, possibly not. Who is conscious of. LOL! Scorpio is a Water sign, yet possibly you have earth indicators on your natal chart. possibly that explains why you like it lots. solid question nonetheless!

Compare Gen 3:17-19 to Gen 5:29 . "And called his name Noah , saying , "This one will bring us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands, form the ground which HASHEM had cursed". It was understood that the curse only lasted until the death of Adam. Shortly after the death of Adam Noah was born.

Christian people, like myself, still worship him becuase he is all that is good. You want some imperfection, look in the mirror. We, all of us, are the cause of all the grief in the world. All religions preach peace. A lot of people practice something else - which makes the religions look like a total hypocrisy.

Then everyone has the excuse - "the devil made me do it"

A closer look at the garden of eden story might shed some light on the monster that men call god. Adam and Eve were not told the true consequences of eating from the tree. When Eve was about to eat after being tempted, god could have stopped her. god didn't. After eve ate, god could have banished her since she was the one who disobeyed. the knowledge of good and evil did not take affect in eve like god said (i.e., she didn't notice she was naked until much later). therefore, adam saw that there were no consequences from eve eating the apple. god could have intervened when eve offered the apple to adam and explained that eating the apple did not have an immediate effect. god didn't. instead, god waited until adam ate the apple. THEN, they became aware that they were naked. hmmmmm..... notice the effect was almost instant on adam but delayed with eve. Question, who ahs greater knowledge here, two naked lovebirds with no life experience and no knowledge of the consequences of their actions, or an almighty all knowing god? This is like leaving your child next to a swimming pool unattended and telling him/her not to get in. The adult is guilty of murder if the child drowns. NOW, how much more evil is god given that analysis of the facts?

xians hate this one. They will give thumbs down despite the fact they know I am right.

Okay fair question but you are wrong to think that God cursed His creation for all eternity as He plans to restore all things to the way it was at the creation.

Very simple, and i shall answer you, but for fair warning, this may take a while. The Lord created adam and eve first, but he loved his creation so much, he didnt want them to be drones and he wanted them to think for themselves, but he gave them the oppertunity to disobey him in that sense as well. He gave the humans free will because all he wanted was for him creation to love him and for all to be his children, but unfortunatly, we took the Lords kindess and gift of free will and abused it by being deceitful, liars, and cruel and we chose to disobey our creator with the gifts he endowed us with. The Lord is great, perfect, wonderful, amazing, LOVING, provides all we could ever need if we only let gfo of our cares and put them on him, hes so loving and perfect and forgiving, he will do anything for us, all we need to do is say :I love you lord, and i place my every care on you, and im sorry for any wrong i have commited, thought or said against you.", The Lord did not curse us to an eternity of evil and darkness, WE cursed OURSELVES, God didnt make us diobey him and eat of the forbidden fruit, he did not force it down our throughts, all we were supposed to do was turn away from evil, and we couldnt even do that because we are naturally deceitful and curious and naturally disobey because of our free will ,which we CHOOSE to abuse. By the lord giving us free will, he also gave us the choice of using that free will for good and for obeying him, but we often take that for granted and blame him for OUR wrong doings. Our sickness, sorrow and damnation was taken away by a man named Jesus Christ, Gods perfect son. He died on the cross so we didnt have to...he took our pain away, our poverty away, our sickness away, and most of all, our damnation away and replaced it with a wonderful eternal life and a home in the heavens. The lord knows we are not perfect, he understands that, but to those who accept jesus as theyre lord and savior, and ruler of their life, they are spared from the eternal torment of hell, and will be forever at peace with the lord, hes so kind and merciful and loving, that he has given us the gift of salvation if only we would take it, and he loves his creation so much that he puts food even in the wickedest mouth, he gives al the energy you could ever need to go out and get money forn your family, hes so loviung and merciful that he will even give yiu a job in the first place, life in the first place, allows you to live another minute, allows you to feel love, allows you to fall in love with the woman or man of your dreams, gives you your children...all he asks is that we accept his son, that is all and recognize what he did for us and how he died for our sins and gave us eternal lkife if only we would accept it...he knows we will never be perfect, but were not expected to be. The lord is Great, the Lord is amazing, and perfect, merciful and loving, but unfortunatly not all humans see it that way, but as for me and my husband, we will choose to recognize that. nothing is possiblewithout the lord god and his merciful love and power.
