well i guess you wouldnt want to give her anything to big or bulky. i would give her something she could either remember you by or remember the u.s.a by. older people enjoy decor and they love sentimental things they can look at and think about. therefore, i would definately get her a lovely framed picture of some sort, wether its you and her, or a landscape. a framed picture she will hang up, appreciate, and grow to love for many more years to come. good luck :)

Something typical of where you are. Maple syrup, maple candies or chocolate, blueberry liqueur, smoked salmon, a native wall decoration or dreamcatcher, whatever. Something she can show to, or share with, her friends or relatives when she is back there.

Give her a farewell card that says good luck on your journey, stay healthy, and take care.

Ask her what she likes here that she can't get easily there. And if it is light and easily packed and virtually unbreakable, all the better.

Something made in China! lol "Lookie! it's going back to where it came from!"

Just kidding. Get her something that will be useful to her when she gets back. Maybe some non-
Chinese made toothpaste.

How about a reality check? I can't imagine anyone wanting to live under a communistic form of government...
