i know...well at least my cats...like playing with plastic especially plastic bags from the grocery store! but also he may just be spraying and marking his territory. My then 7 month old cat (now 8 mos.) always did that on our bed and really random places but we got him neutered and hasnt done it since. You should just get your cat neutered and if that doesn't solve the problem take him to the vet and check if he has a urinary infection.

Some cats just like to pee on plastic bags. I don't know why, but they do. Neutering may or may not help. Just be glad its on a plastic bag where you can see it and clean it up easily, and tyr not to leave plastic bags around anymore.

LOL, I have the same problem with one of my cats. I can leave a plastic bag sitting in my kitchen sink or on the coffee table and he will pee on it. (mine is fixed) My only reasoning behind why he might do this is becuase when i scoop his litter box, I put everything I scope into plasctic grocery bags, then in the trash. I figured he is doing this out of courtesy thinking its helping me skip a step and peeing right on the source of where it will end up. Hope this helps and good luck!

There could could be a variety of answers to your question. He for sure needs to be neutered. When my cat was a kitten he would get mad when i would leave him and he would get on my bed and use the bathroom.Cats are very smart and yours may be testing you.I would start by removing any plastic bags that I had lying around. Also have the little guy checked for UTI .

Cats do strange things. Remove the plastic bags (and the opportunity to pee on them), and perhaps have him checked by the veterinarian for a urinary tract infection. If he has a UTI, his surgery will have to be delayed until he is better.

Hello,
Well he might be doing this for several reasons,
He might be doing it to spite you.
He might have a urine infection.
He needs to be neutered.
In the meantime you might like to try these suggestions.
*Orange peelings/zest : Cats do not like the smell of it and will hopefully not go there, its like a natural reppellent.
*Pepper sprinkles - they must be granules or it will have no effect. When they step in the sprinkles it will be gritty on their paws and they dont like it so they lick it of and it will be hot. make sure you are careful with this one dont want it going in their eyes or anything, also make sure there is something for him to drink!
*Double sided sticky tape- this has prtty much the same effect as the pepper they just dont like the feel of it on their paws.
* Water gun - just squirt him with a water gun that some people use for flowers, dont use the mist though use the water jet squirt a generous amount but dont be too mean!
Or simple dont leave plastic bags laying around.
Hope that some of these suggestions help you,
feel free to email me with any other questions!
Kindest regards,
Amanda.

You've run into one of the reasons male kittens should be neutered: He's marking territory.
In a way, you're lucky that he's marking bags instead of the house in general.
Good luck!

This is why you get a male cat neutered BEFORE he starts spraying, 4 to 6 months is ideal. Please make an appointment ASAP to have this done. Although it may not stop him from continuing to spray now it will definitely help.

he has not been fixed so that means he is probably spraying and marking his territory..he is also male so he could have a UTI...males are more suseptible to that than females...go to ur vet and be sure b4 u get him fixed bc they won't fix him if he is sick...my 2 male kittens LOVED plastic bags too and then we got them fixed and they don't do it anymore...they also peed on cloth, like a towel or shirt that had/has ur scent on it..

The answer is in your question. You have an intact male cat! They will mark their territory just like an intact dog. Neutering will help to discourage his marking.
