I am willing to believe in God if he simply provides proof of his existence. Why doesn't he?

Question

Now from what I've heard I'll burn in Hell for all eternity if I don't believe in God. I've also heard that God loves me too. My mother would come and talk to me for a while, if it meant that it would spare me suffering. Yet God supposedly loves me much more than my mother does. Why doesn't he talk? I'm more than willing to listen. Sadly, when he doesn't, I'm forced to conclude he doesn't exist. If he does, he must not care very much.

Anyway, say God really has provided me sufficient proof and I just don't recognize it. What more is it for God, who is omnipotent, to prove himself once and for all? He has done it for others, I've heard.

Jesus was crucified, then he rose on the 3rd day. They didn't believe even after that. There are believers, make believers, and un-believers. Don't look for a sign, you will be deceived. Read the new testament, and pray... The Justified shall live by faith. God's in no hurry, he sais be anxious for nothing. Slow down. God's voice is one of those you hear... Do you remember when you where going to "be bad" and you heard a voice say "NO don't do it" who do you think that was? But you did it anyways and reaped the consequences? Draw close to Him, and He will do the rest. Don't think it's all going to happen over night! Cause God's is not in a hurry! If He made anyone a perfect person over night, they would be so full of pride! So it's a slow process! It's God's way of keeping us humble... Hurry time is limited! Seek Him now, Have no un-forgiveness in your heart. If you can't forgive them who tress pass against you, then how can God forgive you. Those that seek righteousness shall be filled. Seek ya first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness, and all these things shall be given unto you.... What does God owe you?

Don't you think that the world & life and all that pertains to it, is just a little "too perfect"? Must be by mindless random chance. You know nothing about the bible, if you did it would blow your mind.

God can show you nothing, the truth is you are not willing, of your own (free will).

Have you ever read the book of Job in the Old Testament? In that book, God basically tells Job he has no business demanding an answer from God.

I have had proof of God's existence in my life, and scoffers tell me that it is something else (my imagination, coincidence, etc.) so perhaps God has given you proof and you haven't recognized it.

If you really want proof of God's existence, tell Him so in prayer and have an open mind. Don't put conditions on the proof ("if there really is a God, then show it by doing. . . ." ) When the proof comes, you will recognize it.

Even satan believes that God exists, but believing in the existance of God alone will not make you a Christian.

Hello, I understand where your at and been there to. This is the first thing that should come into mind when wanting to know of God. My question to you before I answer this is, where have you looked for him ? You may not find him in bodily form just yet as I hoped to and I came to understand why. Jesus taught parables to people which are stories with hidden truth to reveal truth to them that can not easy recieve it. These was never ment to be taking literally but in a way it implifies God relationship with us made of earth, earthly. The heaven declares his glory and the earth his handy work says scriptures. He has given his spirit to those that believe and obey Jesus and that is our proof for know.

You must approach the book with an open mind and avoid all the rubbish that priests, ministers, and mullahs blather on about. Question your childish notions.
But by the sound of your post, I doubt if you can accept the facts. There are other books that question the existence of your god - or any of the multiple gods that the various religions profess. Read one by Richard Dawkins - if you dare

You will not burn in hell for eternity. That is a threat from the priestcraft (churches) for control of the masses.

It's not about proving existence. God allows all souls as many lifetimes as necessary (through eternity) to find their way back home.

You seem to believe that love exists yet need no physical proof of its existence.

You believe in love because you have learned to recognize it both within yourself and from others around you.

It's the same with God. Once you open your heart to Him, you will hear him speak in so many ways.

God's love for His children is unlike any love humans can conceive of. Please try not to limit God to human attributes or characteristics. If we, as mere humans, could understand God's actions, He wouldn't be much of a God.

HE has. There is proof all around, the most visible is our sun and moon. From our view they appear to be the same size even though one is much bigger and farther away. Yes it is an optical illusion but a beautiful example of GOD's majesty. But the atheist will say it’s just a coincidence, but then the big bang and evolution theories rely mainly on coincidence.
