You were throwing up during the night, it must have been the leftover Christmas dinner you had last night. So tell that to your boss that, and you will not be coming in to work today...
But if you have sick days, then no need to explain why, just tell your boss or who ever you use to call out, just tell them that your sick, and you will not becoming in today, it is illegal for them to ask why, if you have sick days. Like I said, if you have sick days, call who ever, say this,

"Hello, this is _____, I do not feel good today, so I'm calling out sick today. Good Bye"
And hang up the phone. While your on the phone with your job talk fast, and do not let them get a word in, do not let them cut you off.
Have a nice day off work,

I like these 2 old proverbs they make alot of sense~~~
1) If you are good, you are guided by honesty.
2) The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Doesn't pay to be dishonest! Ever think of your consequences or the outcome?
It's never a positive one.
Your lie has to cover another then another, so the cycle continues.
Always tell the truth... it has better rewards!
Suggestion: Quit your job and find one you enjoy doing, and maybe you won't have to conjour up lies!

Sometimes u need a break, I don't think is something really wrong to take a day to take a breath. Say you'd been feeling ill... and is not true...maybe you're tired, that's ill enough to me

"I'm not feeling well and will not be coming in today."

If you are allowed sick days, you really don't need to give a detailed explanation other than that, because sick days are your days.

If you exceed your limit of days, it may be your job's policy that you will need approval to take a day after the limit has been reached.

Best way is to get ill.

Common way is to say you are ill. If you do this, don't answer the door bell in case it is people from work coming to cheer you up. Or check up on you?

Tell them you came down with a cold and you can't be productive today because of it and you don't want to risk getting other co-workers sick.

Just tell them: I don't feel like the 'Beull schyte' today,

I'm ok, but I just don't want to work for pay right now,
and I want to jeopardize keeping my job. . . (lol)

that should do it. :^)
