I'm a singer and I live an apartment building with wooden floors. I can hear the people who live below me so I need the best soundproofing for the floor and my bedroom door. The walls are okay because they don't connect to other apartments. I would like to spend under $100 for everything, even better if it's under $50. Does anyone know the best store or website to find soundproofing for a bedroom floor and a door?

i would advise you just to rent a separet room for your recordings and the thats when you can seal the air spaces of that rented room!! but if you want the same room room you are living in now.. you'll gotta have to spend more than $100 because: 1) you'll wont have enough fresh air and 2) that may cause a serious illness that may cost you even more than $100 to cure, prevention is better than cure!! but..any way you choose, good luck!

You should be able to find sheets of insulation that are similar to styrofoam. It can be cut and used on the door.

A thick pad and dense carpet would certainly help to 'soundproof' the floor though. You might try looking at carpet stores and telling them you are willing to purchase remnants that are the appropriate size.
hope this helps! :)
