Does he go outside? If he does, he must get in fights. I guess none of the other cats like him.

It's not "normal", no. I say take him to a vet. He might be under stress thats causing him to lose his fur, he might have some kind of mite, or bug. I'm not sure if cats can get mange, but I'm pretty sure its common in dogs that aren't cared for (That's probably not it though, I can't imagine you neglecting your cat then asking what's wrong) The cat might have fleas and is scratching the fur until the hair falls out...he also might have gotten into a fight. Take the kitty to see the vet. Maybe he needs medications.

There are a lot of things that can do that to a cat--your vet will need to examine him to see if these are abscesses, mange, ringworm or something else.
Each has it's own form of treatment. But the longer you wait on some of these the worse it gets and the more time it will take to fix.

It could be fleas. Some cats are very sensitive to fleas and will scratch nonstop creating bald spots with sores. I would take your cat to the vet to get checked out.

It's not normal. Maybe take him to the vet, the doc will be able to tell you what's wrong.
