I usually take my digital photos to walmart and have them printed off the disk, but I waste a lot of disks. I don't use the memory card because I usually edit the photos after I take them. What would be a cheaper and easier way to get them printed?

I have my own printer, but the store has better quality.

I have used York before, but the quality of the photos were terrible. They use Kodak paper, which I do not like.

Why don't you upload the shots you want printed to walmart.com? Or get a USB drive, or a CD/DVD-RW and take the shots to walmart?

Consider investing in a Kodak 1400 dye sub printer. I have bought several off ebay for $200.00 brand new. For a while Kodak had a promo going and were giving them away with a very expensive printer as a proofing printer. I think Kodak may not make that printer anymore but you might still find some new in the box and supplies are easy to obtain. You might also look at Kodak's website at their dye sub printers.

You can get about 50 8 x 12 or smaller prints off the printer for about $80.00. You can also learn to print packages on the printer easily. It's easy to set up and print multiply 5 x 7 prints.

The quality is so much better than Walmart or most places like that it will blow your mind. And best of all you have total control over how they are printed, how light, dark, cropping, size, etc.

If you seldom do large prints pick up one of the small dye sub printers to do 4 x 6 prints. They work great too.

Some of the best deals on new dye subs are at B and H Photo online. I've dealt with them for over thirty years and never had a problem.

I promise, if you get a dye sub printer and learn to use it you will save money and have way better quality.

Well your first option is to copy the photos after you edit them and copy them back to the memory card so that you can just use that when you take them in to be printed.

That being said the easiest way to upload them to one place and then decide where to have them printed is through Google's photo program called Picasa, its a program you download for free and it has great editing capabilities. It then lets you order prints from the program, you enter in your zip code and it lets you know differant places around down that you can have the photos printed at like Walgreens, etc. You have have them printed there and just go pick them up, they also have the option to have them mailed to you.

Personally I find myself uploading my photos to the Sams Club website and having them printed out at Sams by 1 hour then I just go pick them up there. They have really good quality prints there.

Use an on-line printer service. They even send you the result home. (depends on where you live what a good service is for you.. postage and packaging costs and all)

Usually they charge a handling fee ($1) and about 10 cents per standard print. P&P on top of that of course.

BTW:
Doesn't Walmart allow you to send your pics on-line? You can choose to pick them up or have them sent to you.
Yup, they do:

Select an on line processor that will allow you to upload your images from your PC to their lab, then they ship the prints to you.

I use Adorama for my prints, they give excellent quality, good prices and are very easy to work with.

Are you sure your printer has a driver for Vista? And what's wrong with calling Epson and asking them for help?
