Apparently, "no longer getting special treatment" = discrimination.

I can understand why they're offended by things that are anti-Christian. Anti is a negative, so it's reflecting on them in a specifically negative way. But the non-Christian stuff they find offensive because they're right and everyone else is wrong, and whenever they speak they're just trying to prove that they're right, but when people say something that has nothing to do with Christianity or is against Christianity then they feel persecuted.
Like modern Christians in the Western world have any idea what persecution is.

Christianity has zero tolerance - theres is the only way and all other religions are from Satan- only Christianity is from God-
they now show a bit of tolerance to Jews but only after they've exterminated them
Muslims also believe theres is the only way but believe that other religions such as Jews and Christians and even Hindus and Zorastrianism have received divine revelation which necessitates respect for those religions.
Whereever Islam went it didnt destroy cultures - thats why only 20% of Muslims are Arabs and Muslim cultures are extremely diverse - a mosque in Africa isnt like a Mosque in India-
Where Christianity went it did -which is why Christian cultures are much more monolithis e.g. which is why Christians in south America speak spanish and have churches the same as in Spain. Churches in Africa speak English and have the same design as the UK.

People are people and all can be offended. I am a christian and can be offended. If I am cut with a knife, I hurt and need to heal like anyone else. I am glad that Jesus said that in this world offenses will come but "be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". I can think on my over-coming capacity thru Christ and my healing inside will be there speedily. As a christian, I like that resource. Hope this is not offensive.

I think the problem is that people in general allow themselves to be too easily offended. Period. Your belief system has nothing to do with how easily your feelings are hurt. It takes quite a bit to offend me and provoke me. I have a thick skin. But then, I'm also very interested to hear other viewpoints besides those that agree with me. I enjoy learning about other people and other belief systems because I find it fascinating, and I would prefer to try to understand someone than "be offended."

Because Christians have a tendency towards hypocrisy. They can't stand the idea of something non-christian broadening their horizons or making them think. For some reason, they find it offensive. Also, it's their way of trying to drive out those of us who aren't Christian in order to make R&S a "christian only" board.

Everything that is non-Christian or anti-Christian is not offensive to me.
The only thing that offends me is being called a moron, idiot, deluded, etc. for being a Christian.
I well understand that it is offensive to atheists to be told they are going to Hell, that they are immoral. etc. I feel the same way when I am told that all I deserve is disrespect and ridicule because I love Jesus.

Because when your belief and hope and meaning is tied to something completely subjective like emotion and faith, your sense of humor and emotion becomes very tender.
Its like building a shelter on shifting ground verses building it on stable ground. The shelter that is dependent on shifting ground is easily toppled, so the owners spend most of their time trying to keep it propped up, and when others come along and prod at it with sticks, they get really ticked off.
Shelters built on solid ground, don't require as much maintenance, so the owners aren't as worried about stick wielding and prodding. In fact many of them laugh about it because someone with a stick can't even effect a building with foundations sunk in solid data.

I'm not offended by non-Christian stuff.
Attack me personally, and I won't like it (and since you know nothing about me it will be ill-informed).
Attack my faith and I'll resist - ever so politely!
Have a good discussion, and let's get talking!

Because it might make them think about their faith, which they don't like because there is so much evidence proving their beliefs wrong, thus making their delusion (continued belief in something despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) more difficult to maintain.

You are sadly mistaken. All you have to do is look around to see that the rights of Christians are being taken away every day.
Christians used to be Guaranteed the same rights as everyone else but not anymore.
Doesn't matter though, Jesus wins in the end and all we have to do is endure.
