In Spirituality the Supremacy of Unknown over the Known is the order. I am not against taking advantage of the seen world, but the only thing is that it should be according to the Will of Supreme Spirit rather than just by the prompts of so called 'Prakrithi'.
Everyone has their own tastes; and duties accordingly, in this world for perusal. In this context some thoughts of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs put forward by modern day Behavioral analysts plus some aspects of Modern Management Concepts regarding an individual’s General Skills come to my mind. If we carefully observe we shall be able to see behind all these, the Concept said in Bhagavad Geetha: - ‘Chathurvarnyam Maya Srishtam’ meaning the Creation of the Four Classes is God’s own Will only. Each one should fit into those opportunities matching their strengths and innate tastes. The people of Strategic Management today call it the SWOT analysis.
Modern day Hindu revivalists try to negate and abandon the class theory citing it is the thing which prevents the unification of Hindu Community. But I think it’s like burning the house fearing a rat. It is a truth that in any society, there exist these four classes.
The Brahmins – with Self Actualization Needs and with more of Conceptual or Strategic Skills and having the capacity for very long term planning considering several life times of births and deaths in advance,
The Kshathriyas – with more of Esteem or Recognition Needs and with some Conceptual and more Human or Interpersonal Skills and having the capacity to plan for one life time or bit less,
The Vysyas – with more of Socialization Needs and with Good Interpersonal Skills with some Technical or Implementation skills with capacity to plan for several years ahead and
The Shudras – with more of Safety and Physiological Needs and a lot of Technical or Implementation Skills who live the life for day to day existence.
Brahmins are the ones who are trying to Achieve what they are Really Capable of. They can be said to be in the Self Actualization Category, the Highest Hierarchy said by Maslow. They could be said to be the ones motivated towards the Need for achieving the Highest and still Unknown Self.
Now come the Kshathriyas – the modern day Business and Political Tycoons who are thriving for Great Recognition among People and who want to control masses, do belong to this Category of People pursuing Esteem Needs said by Maslow. I think some of the CEOs and IAS people (not all) also can be in this Category.
The Vysyas – smaller business men and politicians, the executives in companies, the bureaucrats of Government machinery who utilizes intelligence to achieve objectives belong to the Socialization Need pursuing Category said by Maslow.
Shudras – the class four employees, workers and people bothered of day to day living who use their physical strengths and implementation skills according to the visions of other three classes belong to various levels of Safety and Physiological Needs pursuing Category of Maslow. From this class also I think some of the leaders who use intelligence and vision can be shifted to other classes.
But then this is just a General Classification. Maslow might have created an Hierarchy stating an upward flow of Needs. But in reality, anybody can be in any class any time. It’s all, the demand of situation and taste of each one. The need for achieving certain things and there by running this so called illusionary world matter a lot. Finally every body has to reach the same Source whatever role they may act for the time being.
Until that Light of Divinity strikes (till ‘Aham Brahmasmy’ is felt) no body can be told to be superior to any body. Until then we all are just various instruments in Thy Hand. Change over from one class to another either in this birth itself or in births that have gone or that are yet to come by, are all part and parcel of this Great Game. Nobody need to be ashamed of the role that they have to play for the time being.
The only aspect while doing anything is to check whether it is helping our travel from I to We, whether it invokes that feeling of Unity of Fundamental Divinity in all the beings.

The need of the hour is to pool resources by all Indians to treat the malaises afflicting the body politic of the Indian nation. This can be done by a common action. Throwing slime won't help, not in the least. You have rightly enough diagnosed the ailments as poverty and illiteracy. But here's the cue! The most deadly disease seriously crippling India and the Indians is the habit of almost many Indians to blame other communities for the mess. Each one of us should be proud of the cultural mosaic that is India. There is surely strength in unity and sure demise in the mud-slinging exercise -- which is more often than not resorted to people who cannot call a spade a spade. Your logical conclusions would definitely shake awake the Indians from their slumber. Let's take lessons from our glorious history and confidently look forward to a prosperous future. It will be a daunting but not an impossible task for each Indian -- be he/she be a Muslim, a Christian, a Hindu or for that matter from any religious sect or community!

It is better for you to learn more than just trying to escape from
the reality. There was a cast system,There is a cast system, and there will be a cast system in India and especially
amoung our hindu brethren. No body blames the hindu Religion! But it is the Cukture and the system which should be blamed.
Ther are very poor and illetrate Muslims and Christians but
no one practises the cast system of race and creed,!

That is the only thing they can seize on and exaggerate it. No doubt the cast system has been abused by vested selfish people but then which system under the sun has not been abused. Again class system is alive and kicking through out the world and in all religions. They just do not call it so. The minute u have a leader or recognise a talent and reward it, u have yr class system.

It may be recalled that the rigid "Caste system ' created by Manusmirithi has been critically reviewed by many for the last 100+ years here and abroad!
One wonders as to how only Muslims and Christians have been singled out to lecture to Hindus about the caste system?
Any person's visit to any library would let him see how many have written against that abnoxious practice.
Reams of papers and tons of ink could not effect any change.
It is upto the members of the Hindu community to make a study that this system has outlived its utility or not. If ."yes", then they must put their heads together and decide to scrap it at the earliest.

the caste system is the ruins of a anciently well managed, system. in which there were no lower or upper castes only the work a person did, determined his caste, also that caste system was no heiridity based, any one could be in any caste, and could change it with a mere change in profession.
there is no word Lower Caste,Upper caste in the sacred texts Vedas and Gita.
all these are man made, relating all these to our sacred relegion is totally wrong.
just read Vivekanands work and his lecture and teachings u will find how Great is our relegion which is God centered not Prophet centred.

Caste system (mind you, 'system' -- it's systematic, well organised!), is a good social structure! In vishnu sahasranama, as advised by Bhishma, there is a clue to the real organisation, in the passage, "vedantago brahmanasyat, kshatroyo vijayee bhavet, vysyo dhanasamrudha syat, sudra sukkhamavapnuyat......"! again, a much debated purushasukta portion is, " ....brahmano:sya mukhamasit....etc." It's all very interesting as points in logic, points in evolution of civilized societies in different epochs, but, as points supporting quarrels among religions, they don't sound very interesting! In fact, all religions seem to have some caste system or other, in their own different ways!

Problem with you people is that you become apologetic and start denying your religious practices, which do not appeal to the modern mind. Have you read Manu Smruti, the Law Book of Hindus. It very clearly not only propagates but encourages caste system. (I know now you will disown this Book too).
Put your house in order and stop blaming Muslims and Christians for all your follies

I am an Overseas Missionary Priest, most of my life is spent collecting donations of clothes, books, toys and money. Out of my own pocket I fund the airfare to go there and then give all I have away, regardless of what religion they are. I go preach yes, but I do not discriminate or critisize other religions. I have many Hindu and Muslim friends and find them all to be wonderful warm kind human beings with a tremendous sense of humour. Please, do not judge everyone under the same label

They are in the hell of discrimination.
And used to laugh at others.
Are`nt they practising discrimination in broader sense ??
BULLSHIT !!!
Hinduism is better than these people.
It is surprising development that, after independence there are wonderful changes in Hindu society.
Any other religions never can imagine even.
