No more time to themselves or able to fellowship with friends and family events because you have bills to pay. Spending years to pay off debt that you're working on paying off but have to turn down people's invitations to have fun and do fun things? Is this what life is really all about? People have made bad choices but does that mean that their life is over. Does God want us to really NOT be able to rejoice in thy youth and live life because you have creditors calling you? Depression, Alcholism, Suicide, Homicide, Gas Prices going up, the War in Iraq, (I used to be in the Army by the way), Relationship problems, barely making it day to day, Hell on Earth, I feel I'd be better off in Heaven, and leave these problems that I started partially and the ones that I didn't start here on Earth where they belong. I pray to God everyday for strength in this cold dog eat dog world we live in. I keep my focus on God so I'll be o.k.? Do you feel the same? Live life;and focus on God. True?

Not having enough money sometimes. God will still be here for me and you. I'm trying to get through my trials and tribulations. I'm a young black man where a lot of young black men feel the same way, but I'm keeping my faith in God that he'll provide for me and not money being the God that I serve. If you let money be your God instead of God himself, that's when it seems problems arise. Anyone feel me on this issue? As Christians how are we supposed to get over this critical hump in life while here on Earth where everything costs money? Really, no matter what race you are. I need some spiritual and Godly advice from fellow christians, also I need to deal with my trust issues with my significant other whom I love a lot and care for because of past relationships that have hurt me when she done nothing wrong from the start. Help me out.

Life is about survival.
Paying debt is the same as planting food and hunting for animals was for uncivilized man thousands of years ago.
Suicide is NOT the answer. Heaven is NOT the answer.
Embracing the life you have left and enjoying friends and family and strangers IS the answer.
Living can be hard, but it also can be very rewarding. I choose to live a fulfilling purposeful life, because it brings happiness. I have the option of letting bills and debt crush me, or to accept them and actively find a way out.
You can do this with help from counselors or through information on the interet.
If you are living a life of depression and have little left to live for, why not take a chance, accept your situation, and create a goal oriented way out.
If you don't do that, then you are destined for unhappiness, whether it includes a god or not. Don't use religion as a golden ticket and excuse not to embrace life.
EDIT - Your additional information helps. You are in a position of needing to work harder than most of us White people. Many Caucasians reject that notion, but have never lived your life. I haven't either, but have spent several years in a dilapidated neighborhood and understand, how incredibly hard it is to get out of the cycle of depression and make the leap into embracing life.
You are all you have, no one can get you out but yourself. There will be lots of people in your way, telling you it is impossible, and that its not for you, they will include family and friends. That makes it difficult, but not impossible. Education IS the key.

Yes, it is true. I lost my computer programming job last August. I have been a programmer for almost 30 years. I am 56. But, even though I have the skills, I cannot get hired. And, the interviews now days are ridiculous. They have me interview with a panel of about 5 techies who make me write computer code on the spot in front of their eyes. I cannot program that way. And, now there is a time gap on my resume. I may have to get a menial job. That is very depressing at my age for a skilled person with a college degree. I am amazed there are not more homeless people out there or more crime considering how difficult it is to get a good paying job now days.

You are so right, and asked a very good question. Most people, including myself, have forgotten what it really means to live. Thanks for reminding me. It just feels like we, as human beings, are stuck in this fast paced world that revolves around money...I wish there was another way to live without all of these problems. I think the key is to make it a point to enjoy ourselves at least every once in awhile. Hang in there man!

People have tried. But the world has a way of catching up on them.
Not paying bills isn't really a good idea - it tends to mess up your life in the long run.

Nah. Money isn't everything. If I can't pay cash for it then I don't need it. Life is too short to get stressed out over bill collectors.

I ran up my credit card debt. I accept the responsibilty needed to pay it off. "God", "Satan", nor "Lex Luthor" have a hand in it.

If you got yourself into debt, you really do have a responsibility to pay it back. It's not fair to your debtors if you don't.
