Anyway I just want to take a quick poll, if an ex tried to get in contact with you would you feel more comfortable if he had or didnt have a girl. Like if im single they might think i want them back or would it not matter. Also i think if i tell them yea i have a girl it not only eliminates the possibility of them wanting me back but also it shows that i'm different than before. what do you think

Sometimes when you break up you can remain friend but 99.9% of the time you can't. If I was the girlfriend and the ex called, I would take it as a sign she wants to get back with my man.

An ex having someone in his or her life shouldn't matter when they contact you if you're not interested in getting back with them. You need to make it clear as to what the call is about when you first talking to them that way no one will end up with expectations that can't be met. If you have a girl why would you want them to want you back? The only person you should be concerned about it the person that's in your life at the time not some ex that's calling you. It sounds to me as if you're wanting females to never get over you but it just doesn't work that way in life, Sweetie.

Hmm. I think that if you had a girl, then the ex- would take that as a signal to back up and not to get too close to you again. But if you didn't have a girl, then the ex- would take that as maybe there is still a chance of mending that old relationship. Hope i helped at all!

I personally wouldn't want an ex to seek me out just to be friends. I would expect him to be friendly to me should we ever see each other out. It wouldn't make a difference to me if he was seeing some one or not because we already had our time together. I try not to look back so I would not think about being with him again.

Why is it important to show that you are different?
I think you want them anyway, and are trying to weasel back into their life by saying you have a girl.
Thats just how it comes off. Either you are changed or you are the scummiest lowlife just trying to use a woman so you can use another woman.
Why do you want to get back in contact with them?

Okay.. ill act like you are my ex boyfriend.
So you have a girlfriend and you tried contacting me,
and you flirt with me alot while you talk to me, then yah
it seems like you want to go back out with me.
You have a girlfriend and you are just like " i miss
talking to you, wanna hang out as friends " that
usually means.. im tired of my girlfriend and i want to
see you so maybe we can get back t0gether..
You are single, it means you want to get back together.
Mostly, when you contact an ex it means I want to
start things new..

If the ex and I had left on bad terms, I probably wouldn't want to hear from him again. However, if we had been friends, then I love to hear from him! Especially, if he is doing well for himself, like got a great job, new wife/gf or kids!

If you're going to apologize for doing her wrong, fine. But why is it important that she know you've changed? If she's not holding a grudge, she's probably moved on. If you just want to be friends, what difference does it make if you have a girlfriend or not? Have you moved on? Apologize for you and go away.

with a girl would totally scare them off. b/c they'd think you'd be trying to make a joke or use them
without a girl might make them think your a desperate loser.
