Well seeing as how David Koresh is just an actor on one of the all time greatest shows to ever exist in the universe, I don't know...oh wait that's David Schwimmer....
Hmm...well then, I would assume they're not the same since Jesus gave himself up and tried not to put his followers in harms way, and David Koresh was all like "AH! THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO KILL ME!!! SHOOT THEM" that's just one, among many things that makes htem different.

I know I'm a witty atheist friend and all, but I'm giving you an honest answer here:
Nothing, unless you count number of followers in the contemporary world.
The fact is that Jesus' stories were not recorded by any historian of the time. Where Jesus was referenced in contemporaneous works, it was as a note that the local people believed in his existence, not that the historian himself had actually seen Jesus, nor witnessed any of the miracles described in the Gospels, nor witnessed his crucifixion or resurrection. In short, all the historians of the time who mentioned Jesus were reporting on him as a local legend, not as an actual man.
If you don't take the Bible as evidence in this instance (since it's illogical to use a book to prove its own correctness - outside citations are always necessary for that, just as you can never use a word to define itself) then there is no historical evidence that clearly supports the Jesus mythos.
I don't know that Jesus was "just another David Koresh." If Jesus existed, he probably didn't have designs on controlling people, keeping children confined, and killing government dudes for his own crazy agenda. If he existed, he was probably just a radical preaching love and talking about God. Kind of the first hippie of the Common Era. Whether you'd personally choose to compare that to David Koresh is up to you. ;)

Well for one you apparently need to do more reading of you Bible, Jesus performed miracles and healed people including the blind when he walked the earth.
For two you should also do more research on David Koresh, and not believe everything the media tells you! David Koresh supposably was raping children, but I have seen actually footage of the ones who went in and killed the children. So please question the ones you are putting your trust into.

How about a reply from a Jew? For those who want to believe no evidence is necessary for those who do not want to believe no evidence is enough. Although I do no follow Jesus one must admit He was the most important historical/religious figure who ever lived To compare with Koresh is somewhat ridiculous

David Koresh came after Jesus so Jesus could never be another David Koresh. Could David Koresh been another Jesus. I doubt it because he did not do any miracles, He also did not fullfill any of the prophecies of the Messiah.

Matthew 20:26-28. It wasn’t about Him. Koresh wanted all his followers to die. Jesus simply came so we wouldn’t have to. With Koresh, it was all about him. With Jesus, it was all about bettering us, and leading us to eternal salvation. Oh, and the Outcome… Jesus rose from the dead to save us!

Just remind me, please.
David koresh - his 'followers' committed suicide in large numbers or else forced those around them to do so. Right?
I'm not aware of any Christians who do that. Do you find that convincing? I do.
PS A fire it is then - thank you for this. Of their own making I believe. Weren't guns involved too?

There is none.
I once tried to convince a gentleman that it was a sunny day while we were standing outside in the sun and he won't believe me. (That is the literal truth.)
Unless you are prepared to accept reasonable evidence that will allow you to convince yourself, no one else can.
That fact that you asked the question as you did, indicates to me that you are not at that place where any evidence will impact your decision.
A man convinced against his will, remains unconvinced still.
