For what reasons are you not going to church or reading the bible anymore?

I suspect that laziness is not the reason. Are you starting to question your faith? Are you finding that going to church is a waste of time? Is the bible not giving you the answers you seek?

What should you do?

Don't make hasty decisions. Just being here at Yahoo QandA will give you more information than the time you spend in a church. Check out the arguments between atheist and agnostics and believers in religion. Maybe the voice of rationality is calling you or maybe you'll get more inspired by your religion then it's time be more active again in your faith.

Of course you're going to hell. My goodness, just look at you! You look just like the kind of terrible sinner god wants to punish and make an example of for all eternity, because you have missed a few weeks of church. His message is very clear to me now and it all makes sense.

Didn't you read the disclaimer when you were born? One infraction (of significant merit) and you are DOOMED forever into a lake of fire with vultures pecking at your eyes and your flesh being peeled by nasty maggots and demons.

Yep, you were warned, now you must suffer for an infinite amount of time - too bad you missed church last week.

I will pray for you.

Actually, I will be there too, with you in hell, and I will do my best to shoo a few of the vultures away from you.

See you soon....

Going to church, praying often and reading the scriptures will absolutely help give you a deeper insight on life, give you strength when your down, just knowing there is someone always watching out for you who has the power to help you in all things and loves you is comfort in it self.

But I dont believe you will go to hell because you dont.
They are just tools that can help you if you choose to use them in gaining more knowledge spiritually so when you are ready to learn more you know where to go 'church' and what to turn to 'scriptures'.

If you choose to use those tools or not, just be a good person, stand up for whats moral and just, be honest and have charity for others.

Either way do what is right for you. :)

Only people who break God's Law will go to hell. Nobody will be there who doesn't deserve it.

Of course, you COULD throw yourself on God's Mercy, since Jesus Christ already paid the penalty FOR you, since "He who knew no sin became sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him" by sincerely repenting and putting your trust in Jesus, and allowing Him to be the Lord (boss) of your life.

If you're not sure if you've broken God's Laws, ask yourself if you have ever told a lie, or taken something that wasn't rightfully yours to take, or been angry or jealous or greedy or hateful or vengeful (wanting revenge) or looked at someone with sexual desires, or used God's name in vain, or as a swear word, or in a manner that belittles God's holy nature and character.

If you've done any of the above, the Bible says that if you break even the smallest commandment, you are guilty of all.

The only thing you SHOULD do is put your trust in Jesus as the one who took your place on the cross, then follow Him as He leads you through this life.

God bless you as you re-evaluate your life and your relationship with God through Jesus :-)

(Joh 3:5) Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(Joh 3:6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

No!

No one can actually to a place that never existed.

Let's say that I say there is a sister planet just like ours on the other side of the Moon.

I assure you, you cannot go there. You cannot, therefore, go to Hell.

Don't put too much faith (this really means - no faith at all) in the ramblings of 4th century catholics.

Good Day,
The basic "altrusism" of at least 12 different world Religions is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
Sometimes, Spiritual "Growth" is like the ebb and flow of the tides, sometimes people need a break to revitalize their curiosity as to "things not proved"
Good luck in your quest.

Shamans teach today that hell is a place where negative energies we create are drawn by the magnetic center of our World. They are real masses of energy. That create visions
of the emotions that create them. Like lust, anger, violence, and fear. It is actually called The Fear. Note the wording in Isaiah 24:18. KJV.
Souls end up in this negative reality due to fear caused by guilt and shame, and their own rejection of the better things the spirit world has to offer.

Well.. Jesus said to study the scriptures..so why not just try that for awhile . Church? YOU are the church if you believe in God ..fellowship helps and Jesus said to not give that up.. He said follow Him and he gathered with people all over the place.. they met in peoples houses..living rooms just like most peoples.. streets.. meadows.. boats.. riversides.. beaches.. on the water literally.. etc. So fellowship all over the place. You will feel better and alot freer.
