Yes! The Bible clearly shows that Satan is in control of this world. Revelation12:9: So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him." 1 John 5:19: "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." On an occasion when Jesus was tempted by the Devil, Jesus did not question Satan's role as the ruler of this world. The Bible explains what happened: "The Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: 'All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.' Then Jesus said to him: 'Go away, Satan!'" Matthew 4:1,8-10.
Think about this. Satan tempted Jesus by offering him "all the kingdoms of the world." Yet, would Satan's offer have been a real temptation if Satan was not actually the ruler of these kingdoms? No, it would not. And note, Jesus did not deny that all these worldly governments were Satan's, which he would have done if Satan did not have power over them. So, then, Satan the Devil really is the unseen ruler of the world! The Bible, in fact, calls him "the god of this system of things." (2 Cro.4:4) So , yes the Bible confirms that Satan is king of this world. True, many scoff at the idea that this world is ruled by Satan and his demons. But their disbelief is not surprising, since the Bible says: "Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light." (2 Cor. 11:14) His most cleaver deception has been in blinding many to the fact that he and his demons really exist. But do not be deceived! The Devil and his demons are real, and you need to resist them continually. 1Peter 5:8,9.
Happily, the time is now near when Satan and his cohorts will be no more! " The wold ( including its demon rulers) is passing away," the Bible assures, "but he that does the will of God remains forever." (1 John 2:17) What a relief it will be to have that evil influence removed! May we therefore be among those who do God's will and enjoy life forever in God's righteous now world. Ps 37: 9-11; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 21:3,4.

It depends on what you mean by King. But this should help some:
1st John 5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. - NIV
Also see, Romans 12:9 in the NIV, NKJV, NASB, or the NASB in Matthew 5:37 and 6:13:
NASB: " the whole world lies in the power of the evil one."
Today's English Version: "the whole world is under the rule of the Evil One."
ESV (English Standard Version): "the whole world lies in the power of the evil one."
Living Bible 1981: "the world around us is under Satan's power and control."
ISV (International Standard Version): "the whole world lies under the control of the evil one."
Perhaps not a King, but more like a Prince:
John 16:11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
John 14:30 I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me.
I'll take those 10 points now. :)

Yes and no. Satan is a metaphorical construct that represents all the negative attributes of humans. Satan isn't an actual entity, and Satan doesn't really exist. But what Satan stands for IS very real.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
