I'm glad that someone finally decided to do something about it. ( Sen. Grassley of Iowa is investigating the "wealth evangelists").
I believe it is absurdly wrong to make people worship the Lord for financial reasons. When did faith become so morally wrong?
What are your thoughts?

Yea I just wanna make sure I don't have anything against any religion. But I do believe indeed that taking advantage of people is wrong, no matter what.

Anyone who teaches the "gospel of health and wealth" and the "name it, claim it" principle are deceiving themselves and others. They have seriously departed from the teachings of the Bible. One day, they will be held accountable for their deception but until then I pray that these folks will see the error of their ways. They are people who are actually doing a great disservice to the kingdom of God. It is very disturbing to see that the teachings of these men and women have become a popular trend. I think the Lord Jesus Christ is grieved by this movement.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Jesus taught us to teach all nations so I dont see anything wrong with preaching the gospel. I dont see why you think it is wrong to teach against wealth. God wants us healthy, wealthy and wise. When people look at Christians they should be saying I want what they have.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.
3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
In Deuteronomy 28 God talks about the blessings he has for the people that follow him and the curses for them that dont. Here is a link you should check it out.

King Solomon was the worlds richest man. Look in the bible most of Gods people were rich. Even when the Isrealites came out of captivity of the Egyptians they took all the wealth of the country with them. When Jesus was born wise men brought him gold. When he was crusified they soldiers cast lots on his clothes because his coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. It was a nice coat. Not that of a poor man.

It's a way for some, not all, to take advantage of the vulnerable. Finances don't last. Giving comes from the heart, not a well wigged evangelist. If one cannot give through finances, they can give their time and talents.

People have taken their eyes off of eternity and placed them on the here and now. There is no balance between the two in terms of our living. Believers either focus solely on one or the other. Jesus did come for us to have life and have it more abundantly while here on earth but He also intends for us to live as if we believe that He is coming back. I wonder sometimes how many people still believe that He is actually coming back and we will face judgement.

The scriptures are God's word. God is number 1!!! Money (the prosperity gospel) simply talks about 'money' as a tool. Different people may make it(money) #1 in their life.

Yes it is wrong, as seen here:
Luke 16:13 (New International Version)
"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

When did prosperity become so wrong?
I am VERY wealthy and I gives thousands of dollars to MANY TV and radio ministries and missionaries....
I do it because I wants to see God's Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached around the world....
and 2. because I know it infuriates Satan and his foolish followers who can do nothing about it but scream and holler and make fools out of themselves for all to see .
I think God puts money in the hands of many Christians to accomplish his purpose on earth and to test those judgemental folks who are always railing against the Christians because God has blessed them so much.
"This book of the law shall not depart from thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is therein: for then thou shalt make thy way PROSPEROUS and then thou shalt have good success". ( Joshua 1:8)
