I didn't even know until last week when my chiropractor showed me my x-ray that the right side of my pelvic bone is about 1/2 inch higher than left. So, when I stand straight my right shoulder is visibly higher.

For the 2 sessions all the chiropractor did was twisted my torso and "popped/cracked" my spine and neck. I don't see how it could adjust the pelvic bone. I had to stop seeing him because I am relocating.

Does any one know what he would do next to correct the pelvic bone? Thank you.

There are many different methods chiropractors use to deal with spinal distortions. A half inch difference is significant, however, this could be from muscle spasm or an anatomical (actual short leg). This is not a normal variant just as it would not be normal for one eye to be a half inch lower than the other.

Adjusting the spine bio-mechanically is a hallmark of chiropractic and is a safe and effective method to deal with health problems. There is allot of chiropractic bashing here and it is totally unwarranted as chiropractic is much safer than drugs and surgery. The medical profession has much to answer for with drugs and errors that cost thousands of lives each year.

The twisting of your spine, if contact was on the pelvic bone is a side position is a reasonable method to adjust the pelvic bone. When you relocate, you may find a chiropractor that uses a different technique, but if you are seeing a chiropractor for the purpose of leveling your pelvic bones, you should go by results. Results are what has made chiropractic so popular.

From personal experience, they have different techniques. I've gone to 2 for the same problem. But the first and my favorite way is that what I call "ninja" technique. Basically you are on the table on your back the chiropracter takes my ankle and upper thigh move it back and forth then yank it very quickly and hard. He does this a few times if needed until we hear a pop when the air has returned to the sinovial joint just above the femur. Once this is done I check it by doing some moves I have difficulty doing when the femur is jammed all the way in the joint.

Another Chiropractor grabs the leg at the ankle with both hands and yanks then takes his hand and flips it over using the back of his fingers and taps the hip a few times hard.

This is of course after moist heat and infared treatment has been applied to the hip.

It always makes me feel better. It gets rid of the problem, instead of covering it with pills. Most regular doctors are just toting the AMA party line and can't think bio-mechanically or holistically. To them the body is a bunch of sections working independently instead of a bio-mechanical machine moving in concert. Those doctor's have their uses, but they fail miserably at Spinal health.

This is ridiculous, you don't have a ratchet joint that can be "relocated" and "adjusted" when you or, someone wants.

One side of your body is not the same as the other, no ones is. This is a biological fact. University of Minnesota medical school class of '67

You may have a hip joint that's slightly out of place as compared to the other one but, that's the way it's going to be.

I could suggest a orthopedic surgeon and see what he says but, don't get mad if he laughs.
