No. in fact I think that Microsoft has stopped technical support for Windows 95.
Since they own the copyright, I doubt you can legally change the OS to create a more modern OS.
Just bite the bullet and get Windows XP upgrade.

NO. If I were you I would upgrade to XP before it is no longer available for legal purchase. This should occur sometime in mid January.
