They guy i love proposed to me christmas eve and i was very excited.. i have been a best friend of 5 yrs to the girl that is mad at me and she got engaged on christmas day. And the guy i am with is cousin's with the guy she is with. We got the together.. My guy was going to propose on new yrs eve but changed his mind and did it on christmas eve, bc he knew how excited i would be. she is mad and said we stabbed them in the back and hurt there feelings and were not being true friends bc we should have waited to new yrs to get engaged.. I think she is being very ugly and we got into and are not talking now..She is 24 and i think she is acting childish.. what do yall think? We were very happy for her and her guy..

sounds like your friend didn't want to share her spotlight. She sounds jealous. You should confront her with it and tell her that she is acting childish.

She feels you stole her spotlight. You got engaged first, so you'll have all the attention, and people won't pay as much attention to her because it happened the day after. If your boyfriend had waited a week, the excitement from her announcement would have died down a little, and then she wouldn't have felt as bad.
I don't blame her for being unhappy, but I do agree that it's a little childish. Don't worry about it; she'll get over it. But make sure your bridal shower, bachelorette party, and wedding day are not anywhere near hers!

Don't worry about it! If she is the best friend you said she is, she would not be mad with you for long! Give her a break too, you did steal her thunder with your announcement!

She is acting like a child. Just let it be dont be mad if she wants to be mad let her. It is your man's choice of when he will prapose maybe he could not wait any longer and just wanted to ask that is between you and him not her too ya know! just go on with life let her be mad if she wants just enjoy your soon to be HUSBAND!!!!

Well maybe she is upset that you may have stole her "thunder" or stole her day to shine.. and because the happy day happened to you first, that - that may have made her mad because she maybe would have wanted it to happen to her first...
Give her some time to cool off...

i think that she is being selfish andshould get over it and if not dump her on the side of th road a true friend would be happy and its not like you stole her louis vittion so she needs to get over
