We have put our labrador to a stud 3 times now. Each time we have had her pre mate tested to get the right days. She is fed on good quality food and each stud dog used are proven. But no puppies WHY ?

What a sanctamonious lot in here !!!! Obviously a vet would ultimately be the person to ask. But as this is a question site I hoped that someone may offer some friendly advice rather than this holier than tho rubbish. For the hayers among you we are just starting in breeding and have worked damn hard at doing everything to the book including using a top nreeder for stud dogs. We have hip and eue tests done and our dog is KC registered with a 5 generation show winning pedigree. We aren't some sort of scumbag irresponsible breeder as is being intimated. So before you hand out jugdements check your facts or better still if you can't offer any advice specific to a question KEEP QUIET

Because she knows there are too many Labs in shelters and rescues already and she does not want to add to this heartbreaking situation

regrettably the vendors of the male labrador are actually not responsible for something! in case you do no longer want the domestic dogs the only element you're able to do is get your canines an emergency spay. i does no longer have left her tied exterior unattended whilst she grow to be in warmth interior the 1st place! The fragrance of a woman animal in warmth is amazingly stable and could holiday for miles!

Please email me privately at cattledogmum@yahoo.ca & I will do my best to help you.

I asked you to email me so that I could give you a link but I forgot this was YahooAnswers so you can put links to other sites.
Go to this site & you will find amazingly friendly people & there is a breeders forum that is ONLY for reg'd breeders NO BYB's or puppymillers. You have to email Troy, give your real name, screen name, Kennel name & what organization you belong to. And they WILL check you out. You belong to the KC so that's good. They will not recognize APR, APRI, or other ones like that. It has to be recognized as a proper kennel club. ADBA is accepted too. It will take a day or two for you to be approved but it is worth it.

A responsible breeder would take the dog to the vet to find that out, don't you think? Genetic problems could be behind it. A responsible breeder wouldn't even consider breeding a dog with genetic problems, now would they?

She's sending you a message: I don't want to produce more Labs. Maybe she's not meant to be a mother. Sometimes it happens to females. Since you breed her three times and still no puppies, you should spay her.

She doesn't want to have puppies and know that they'll end up in shelters and probably be euthanized there. Sometimes dogs know better than people!
