hi! well i have two cats and have had many others in the past..... well yeah i would definitely take her to the vet...... she could just be upset about moving.... that's a lot of trauma for a cat!...... this kind of sounds like my cat that just recently past away due to kidney failure :( but i am not saying your cat has kidney failure...... it could be old age but you never know..... best to have your vet tell you! Good luck! and i hope your kitty gets better soon!!!!

Taking her to the vet is the best possible thing you can do for her. She sounds very sick. I had a cat that was FIV+ and thats what happened during the last stage of it. Take her in as soon as possible. It could just be an intestinal infection or something else, but the longer you wait to get her to the vet, the less chance of getting better she will have. Good luck and I hope your cat gets better soon. And if not, then just be thankful for the time you had with her. Take care.

She could have worms or possibly due to her age a thyroid problem. Your vet will do fecal and blood tests to find the true cause. Don't forget to take in a fecal sample when you take her for the checkup. The skinny part and dirty fur sound alot like what my grandma-in-laws cat was like when he was diagnosed with a thyroid problem. Once he was on the special medicine he was like a new kitty. Tapeworm could also be the cause of the weight loss. A simple deworming shot will cure that problem. Get the appointment as soon as you can. Good luck :)

Not grooming is a sign she is sick. It could be thyroid problems, ibd or other things that are very treatable. 11 or 12 is not old as cats can and do live past 20, If it is something like ibd or diabetes, please email me as i can help you. Thank you for taking her in and I hope things work out
If it is just loose bowels, you can get some acidoupholous fom a health food store and sprinle some in the food each day. It is a probiotic and does wonders

Weight loss, loose bowels and loss of interest in grooming can be a number of illnesses. The one sure thing is that your cat IS sick, and quite frankly, seven months is way too long to have let this go on. Get your cat in to see a vet, she is quite possibly suffering needlessly.

Doesn't sound normal for a geriatric cat, or any cat. First visit to the vet, check for the easy stuff, bladder infection, intestinal parasites. Blood work for diabetes, hyperthyroid disease, maybe radiographs to look to abdominal issues and spinal arthritis (these would be issues for the geriatric cat)

Take your cat to the vet immediately. I just lost my 18 year old cat two weeks ago. She may be in chronic renal failure. Please do not ignore these symptoms. Something is not right especially if she is only 12. The vet may be able to help her.

When you go to the vet, plan on a senior panel of blood tests and go from there.
Meanwhile feed her only a chicken/rice quality diet in hopes of minimizing the diarrhea.

how approximately hairballs? that should cause them to look like they are attempting to puke, and that they cough and each so often hack up some slimey stuff yet no nutrition......ask your vet, nonetheless, and characteristic him pay attention on your cat to make useful it rather is no longer a respiration element. if it rather is hairballs, they have a paste which you will feed her (and the different cat) to look after that. yet take it to the vet to make useful. greater effective secure than sorry.
