I'd go for the Canon, because it uses SD memory cards which are widely available from many manufacturers. The Sony will use memory stick, which is pretty much proprietary to Sony and any licensees. Basically, you're at Sony's mercy, which means that should they decide to change standards, you're out of luck.

Second of all, Sony has had serious quality issues in past years, although I haven't heard of any lately. It's enough for me to recommend Canon over Sony.

Canon, it uses sd memory cards instead of the Sony only memory sticks. It's just a better camera.

Canon, hands down, if you are looking at a Canon camera, don't think twice before buying it. They are amazing cameras and will always have what you need.

Canon or Nikon? ok, i will say placed each and each on your hands and what feels sturdy is sturdy. that's not relatively a apples to oranges situation, that's greater approximately flavor. I chosen Canon, yet that would not make me a greater suitable photographer or somebody with little or no flavor. you employ the kit you have, no longer the kit you such as you had.
