My daughter wanted to use everything I used -- including the toilet. When I found The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com and put it in the bathroom, I could not believe how thrilled she was. This stool makes every toilet kid-sized. My kids immediately climbed up on this stool and discovered that they could safely and securely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and they were potty trained very quickly.
The handles and sides make all the difference! My son and daughter felt very secure and the sides makes them feel comfortable and closed in when they use the toilet.
It really is wonderful having your kids independently use the toilet on their own. The best thing is children use this stool for years. Hope this helps you.

First off I would never use training pants because lets face it it is a fancy diaper... I trained my daughter at exactly 2 on a regular toilet not the potty but what I found helped her along was the sound of water. Sit her in the toilet and let the faucet run and that may give her the sensation to pee in the potty. Also, with real big girl panties once they've had a couple of accidents they get the idea pretty quickly. Hope this helps.

Let her sit on her potty while you sit on yours. Keep the bathroom door open so she can follow you in when you go. Let her know you're going peepee in the potty, or that you made poopies in the toilet. Let her see, and explain to her that when she decides to be like a big girl she'll do the same thing.
Talk to her all the time about using the potty, how you're so proud that she can tell you when she has to go potty and how she is such a big girl now for using the potty. What a shame it is for a big girl to not use the potty even though her body says it has to go.
Even though she's not doing these things yet, you're building her confidence in the process and in herself.
Point out her peers, on tv or in the store, and say things like "look at what a grown up little boy that is, he can tell his mommy when he has to go potty. Iam so glad you can tell mommy too." things like that.
Being a toddler its hard to realize that the urge to pee or poop requires an immediate action, help her to learn that by announcing into the room "oh! I have to pee, I better go to the bathroom" and then leave the door open when you go. It helps her connect the two things together in her mind.
Once she shows desire to use the potty switch to underwear and throw out the diapers. Commit to the fact that you will clean messes and do more laundry. Put rubber pants on her at night. Going back and forth and using pull ups only says "sure, use your pants when you dont feel like using the toilet", its confusing and makes it harder for kids to get it down.
Be patient and consistent.

Get a doll with a hole in the bottom. Fill it up with water and let your daughter squeeze the dolls tummy and watch it pee. She may like to sit on it but not sure what she is supposed to do on it. Also, let her sit. Eventually when she does go potty because she is there when she needs to you can have a potty party, cheer, make her feel successful, maybe even a special treat or a sticker. She will get it and want to do it again.

First do not use pullups buy some of the training underware and plastic panties to cover them. Allow her to sit as long as she wants, you can even move it in front of the TV and make sure to make a big event when she does use it. Praising (what a big girl you are, Mommy and Daddy are soooo proud of you etc) also helps.
