99% of all plastic surgery is not covered by any medical plan. Unless there is some form of serious health risk, it wouldn't be covered. I couldn't see anyone covering a breast reduction as it's not life threatening and would be considered purely cosmetic.

"Reduction mammoplasty, procedure code 19318, requires prior authorization from the Medicaid medical consultant when performed outside of the hospital setting"

That would mean that there ARE instances that it would be covered. Obviously, it would need to be deemed "medically necessary".

For the answerer above, breast reduction surgery is not always just cosmetic. Obviously both previous ones are men.

As a reduction is medically necessary it should be able to be covered.

that's humorous how they say Lasik is a optionally available surgical technique. in case you have something incorrect with your physique that's coated. yet i assume your eyes are actually not component to your physique. Who cares in case you are able to no longer see, perfect. yet they in lots of situations pay for a million or 2 eyeglass and eye examination as quickly as a 12 months. Do the mathematics... shop far greater funds with eye surgical technique interior the long-term. S.M.H.
