So far they are "theories" and not facts. It is an interesting conjecture, but "mosques" are a stretch. They were more likely a common design element, and Spanish architecture still held remnants of Moorish design. As Muslims only reached the westernmost part of Southeast Asia by 300 years before western contact in the New World, how could they have gotten to western American shores without celestial navigation? If there were enough Muslims in what is now Western US, they would have had to have many trips back and forth to bring people over--there is no overt Muslim aspect to the animist religions of the natives in these areas. Finally, who are these "many researchers"? I only could find references to Fell's work.

Had they come, then they failed miserably. Did the native americans kick their butts, or what? Also, most of Fell's claims have to do with Celts and other cultures other than Islam.
Dr. Barry Fell was neither an archaelogist or a linguist of Harvard University, but rather a marine biologist. He is dead now, but none of his work was ever published in any academic publication, nor has any of it ever been accepted as anythng but nonsense by any real archaelogists or linguists.
Though many people seem to think Barry Fell is a revolutionary genius, they need to do a bit of research.
Firstly, the 'tablet' that was claimed to have Phoenician writings is a fake. It was scratched by a blade tiller. Barry found it, above the ground, on a farm. Most historic finds are buried below the ground (with an exception for pyramids and things of similar size) by natural processes.
The 'tablet's references to a king of Phoenicia are also quite wrong, as Phoenicia didn't have a king. Phoenicia was a union of several powerful trading cities along the Mediterranean. The individual referenced was the king of the most powerful of the cities, but he wasn't born until about 600 years after the tablet was claimed to have been made.
To put it simply, Barry Fell knows little of the subjects he proposes, his evidence is blatantly false. However, he can write very clearly and convincingly.

I have heard that what is now Lebanon sent explorers to America, but I have also never heard of this being validated. As I understand, it is only a theory. In addition, my understanding is that this was pre-Islam. Do you have any sources for what you're saying?
+Ok, I have done some research and found that there are more theories about Muslims from Spain or Mali traveling to America. But these are just theories, and as of now have not been proven. I won't eliminate the possibility that civilizations other than the ones we know about made it to America, but there just isn't proof right now, and that's what matters.
++Barry Fell appears to be noted, as you say, but apparently he is noted for being a pseudo-archaeologist and for making fantastic claims without proof. I don't think he's as trustworthy as you're saying.

Fell is a flake. There is no archaeological/historical evidence supporting his claims.
Besides, it’s irrelevant. Vikings were here before Columbus as well. And then there is the whole matter of the Paleo-Indian; archaic/woodland/early-agricultural; and agriculture-based complex societies that developed in the New World without any influence from any of the Abrahamic religions.

Leif Ericson of Greenland discovered America 500 years before Columbus, but the point is who tamed America? The Christian Pilgrims because God wanted it that way. If God had wanted it to be a muslim country under the Islamic religion, it would have been a muslim country under Islamic religion. BUT IT IS NOT, it is an American country under Christianity and that is the will of God.
What happened to the muslims? What happened to the Greenlanders? What happened to the American Indians? What happened to the Inkas? What happened to the spaniards? What happened to the British infantry?
God's will is always done.

OK, this is the first time I have ever heard of this, but the more I study the bible and some of the Koran, and listen to the news from all around the world, the more I learn that the extremists of Islam think that the world belongs to them.
Now I know that their are Muslims who do believe in peace, and are not set out to control the world for world domination.

I have absolutely never heard any of the trash before, Yes, Bush took down the twin Towers, and there was no holocost. The earth if flat. The sky is make out of cream cheese and all those other facts. No mosques have ever been found on the American Continent. Hundreds of pyramids, but no mosques at all.

Where are these "remnants" of mosques which are certified as such by archaeologists here in America? Can I see your evidence , please? NOT arab evidence from the Qur'an .. but certified by archaeologists here in America.
The ONLY arab and Muslim explorer I have ever heard of as having traveled very extensively was Ibn Batuta..and he was alive in 1304 to 1378... well after the norsemen... AND he never left the african and the peninsular area north of it according to his own recordings.
And so ..again I ask you for the certified findings of RELIABLE archaeologists here in AMERICA which support your ... shall we call it an hypothesis?
Lots of imigrants into the USA escaped from Islamic territories carrying their language with them.. America also has cities named after Italians ( Columbus ) ... cities named after Spanish men ( St Augustine ) .. and so on.. if the Islamic names of cities got changed.. so? Rejection of Islam by people who respect freedom of religion is nothing new.

No such thing as fact, no such thing as truth. Look at Nazism. They altered history to make it look like their achievement.
People will believe what they want, set themselves in their ways, and spend the rest of their lives being judgemental.
And there's nothing we can do about it.
So I sympathise, because what you're saying is true. But people will only listen if they want to - and, evidently, most people don't.

Sorry, just need to pick up on an answer below me:
"If you were raised in America, you could not possibly believe that."
Of course not. I'm not judging, I'm just stating fact - Americans are taught that their country is at the centre of the world and that the world revolves around them.
Most Americans I have met outside their country are mortified when they discover that they're wrong - that they didn't win WWII single-handedly, that we don't spend dollars, whatever.
That's simply being patriotic, which is a good thing. But you can be blinded by it. And the USA is a shining example. And I'm afraid you'll need to get an alternative perspective before you are in any place to argue against that.
