If it bit me I sure as heck wouldn't trust it to give me a ride to the Hospital!

A tarantula is quite hairy, and can kick the hairs off its abdomen when it feels threatened. These hairs can cause quite a nasty rash.
Would these hairs be the same on a 6 foot high tarantula?

I have had one for 8 years now. The same one.
I can pick her up just fine, and prod her to walk onto my hand.
She has never attacked me, but she is docile and doesn't kick hairs off either.
I would feel safe, except for the hairs, to ride her somewhere if she were 6 foot high, and I was capable of withstanding the massive amount of venom that a tarantula so large would inject, to be able to hang on tight.

Only if you had previous six foot tarantula riding experience. It's not as easy as it looks. If you're worried it might happen to you, my best advice is get lessons now.

No, how could anyone trust a giant biting tarantula to carry them off to the hospital? NO way!

Probably not, because it wouldn't LET you ride it. Even if you COULD mount and ride it, how would it know where the hospital is? You would need to train it, so that it obeys your steering commands, otherwise, it would just go wherever it wants to (probably NOT to the hospital).

Not sure if it has the carry capacity... I'd give it a try tho :) Just grab the head and steer.. should work.

Only if the creature felt remorse for its foul deed and had a saddle!

i guess it depends on why you got bitten. if he mistakenly thought you were the guy who shortchanged hm in the deli, but realized he was wrong...I'm sure he'd happily get you to the hospital.

lol this is hysterical.

That depends... is it an African or European tarantula?

I doubt it -- I'm 6' 5", so my feet would be dragging on the ground...
