This would be the answer God would give you!
Come here my child and let me wrap you in my arms. i love you child, dont worry about a thing, dont listen to those who try to fill your mind about sins and my so called wrath, this is only for their benefit. Listen to me, I've given you a heart so you can do this, listen to it child, it will always put you right, I love you and nothing will ever change that, nobody and no thing will ever change how strong my love for you is, take my love in your heart and pray the best you can for the things you need. I know what you need, you need me to be there for you, I always will just call, sometimes it may take a little time for an answer, but believe me, the answer will be the right one and i will eventually answer. Go now and throw your worry in the lake and fish here no more.

You have already been saved, that's what Jesus died to obtain! Do not be heavy-hearted--we all have "that last sin" to deal with--mine is on a weekly basis! Seriously, this is a journey, not a destination of being somehow perfect--only Jesus is that.
You need to unyolk yourself from your former repressive church--of course you can pray in public. Yes, I too have changed a lot in the past few years with God's help. Wonderful, isn't it? God bless, and keep up the good work. Blessings on your upcoming marriage!

I understand what you are talking about. But if you feel like you are doing something God is not please with keep praying God will help you do the right thing.Knowing it is sin it isn't pleasing to God at all and you will have to reap what you sow.I have found that out the hard way.Have faith that God will show you the right thing to do and when you do then the heavy burden will be lifted.Remember knowing you are sining it is twice as bad but it want change you salvation it means God is not going to bless you.
God knows you are in the flesh and we wrestle with that everyday.
I think it would be very good for you to talk to your Pastor.

I worry the same thing--I go through some of the same issues. A lot of days I feel like a yoyo, because I can have weeks where my spiritual life is on track, I'm reading the Bible, praying, etc. and I feel close to God. But then I have weeks where I'm not reading or praying, my temper is out of control, and I feel like God has kicked me out for good. As for salvation, the church I grew up in was a once saved-always saved mindset, but the church I'm in now teaches that you can lose your salvation. So I'm always worrying....

I'm confused, what is the sin you are not willing to give up?
It sounds like maybe you are saying that because you are shy to pray out loud at your new church that that is a sin of pride or something? Is that right?
I think that when you are moved, you will be moved, and you will overcome your fear. In the meanwhile, remember that even Moses protested to God that he couldn't speak before Israel!

I recommend a book titled (The New Covenant) by David Wilkerson.
I am now finding out that the only way to break free from the dominion of sin is to rely totally on the Holy Spirit and believe that he alone has the power to change me. We can do nothing about our sin, we never could and never will, Jesus is our high priest and promised us that his Spirit will give us a new heart and will cause us to walk upright before God.
I'm coming to the end of my tether trying and failing, trying and failing, doing well then falling flat on my face, the key is to claim the new covenant, to believe that Jesus will do in us what he said he would do, faith is the only thing that pleases God, he knows we are rotten through and through, that's why Jesus came..........to save us from our sins, you are saved, now just believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to be victorious over that secret sin in your life.
Every thing is done by FAITH!!!!!! only believe.
Hope this all helps x

One practical way to know you are truly saved and if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit is to pray in the Spirit. If you are able to pray in the Spirit the Holy Spirit is in you as His temple and you are truly born again. The Holy Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you are a child of God (Romans 8:16). Once we are saved we are saints of God and there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If we sin we fall out of God's grace by walking in our flesh and not in the Spirit and we miss out on God's protection and blessings for us (Galatians 5:19-21). But this will in no way cause us to lose our salvation. If our lives do not bear fruit it shows that we are not abiding in Christ (John 15:4,5) and not that we have lost our salvation.

Thank you so much for asking this question. It's nice to know I'm not the only one worrying about these things. Sometimes I question my own salvation because I struggle with "pet" sins. (Sins I want to hang on to) Here's the thing, though. We will never stop sinning altogether but that's why Christ came- to take away the sins of the world. Christians are under the blood. He bore the penalty for our sins. We are forgiven.

Salvation is not based on how good you are. Go to the Bible and make sure this thing is really a sin and not some legal thing that has been planted in your mind by someone else. In time, God works those things out of you that are not pleasing to Him. The fact that it bothers you that you don't have a desire to want to give up your "one sin" is proof that His Spirit is in you and working those things out. Ask God to give you wisdom in this. And don't let Satan taunt you about your salvation.

Jesus died to save us. You can't help the way you are or He would not need to save us. Salvation is not gained through self control and will. Some christians have deeper issues, and it takes more time to see the fruit. It is what you believe and try to base your life on. Faith without works is dead doesn't mean you have to work to gain salvation. It means that if you believe and say you have faith, but do not pray or seek God, then nothing that you are believing for will change.
Prayer is faith in action.
