Like those Jesus did, I don't know. But since I trust His word, then I believe they still happen when God deems it necessary. I've read so many miraculous stories. But since I can't verify whether it's true or false, alright then only God and those who observed the miracles know what happened.
Also you remember when the teachers of the Law asked for a sign from Christ, in other words maybe a miracle and Jesus told them about the sign of Jonah. I think maybe that's another reason why we don't obviously see the miracles because of the rising pride men exhibit nowadays. Or better said, it's a probable reason.
Also, miracles happen in many ways. Some miracles are relative which makes it not obvious to other people and some miracles are absolute. I bet you know the definition of a miracle. So you can see what I mean.
God bless you in Christ's name.

How could Jesus’ disciples do works greater than he did? Might you be able to share in doing such greater works? The Bible reveals that God enabled some Christians to work miracles, such as expelling demons, healing the sick and, in a few cases, resurrecting the dead. This was to show that he was now dealing with and blessing the Christian congregation. (Acts 3:2-8; 5:12-16; 9:36-40; 16:16-18) But were those works greater than what Jesus did? He cured all who came to him and even some at a distance, miraculously fed thousands, resurrected the dead and controlled natural forces. (Matt. 8:5-16, 23-27; 14:14-33; John 11:39-44) Furthermore, the miraculous gifts of the spirit that some Christians displayed were to end or pass away. (1 Cor. 13:8-10) So how were Christians to do greater works than Jesus?
15 Jesus had spoken what his Father wanted. He did the greatest, most lasting, good, not by his miracles, but by his marvelous teaching about the Kingdom. (Luke 4:32, 43) After he was resurrected Jesus commissioned his followers after him to ‘make disciples of people of all the nations, teaching them.’ (Matt. 28:19, 20) Yes, Christians were to carry on a vast witnessing work. It was to be on a wider scale than Jesus’ preaching, for a longer time and to far more people. Thus, they would do works greater than he did.

You might also remember the passage in the Bible where Jesus went back to his home town and the people there were so radically mean and angry towards Him that 'He could not work any miracles there'.. maybe that is why its happening now. But even if a miracle occurs today who would publish it?
Not the newsmedia they don't publish 'good news' not the magazines, most publish claptrap before any really miraculous events. There has been many things happening in this world small not newsworthy enough for the media. Anyways if they start talking about stuff like that then they would be saying that God might exist and most media people are atheists( the poll says its like 96%).

The miracles didn't happen back then either.
In those days, a lot of people would listen to a "miracle" story and believe it really happened.
These days the same thing happens, but a smaller percentage of the population actually "believes" that the miracle occurred

Man does bring people back to life with CPR. We have treatment for cancer and some will survive and live on because of the treatment. Surgery is performed when someones appendix ruptures, which saves that person's life with a nice heavy dose of antibiotics to kill the bacterial infection. Antibiotics kill all kinds of infections that are potentially deadly and let's not forget vaccinations which also thwarts off deadly diseases.
Miraculous healing still occurs, but Jesus may have also been calling our technology a miracle. I think we will advance as a civilization and learn how to utilize the power that God has given all of us to perform miraculous healing. We are not in tune spiritually to tap into the abilities that lie dormant within us.

Your last statement asked where the problem is...
Those great miracles Jesus was speaking about would come from HIS Kingdom Gospel... and not from the Pauline gospel we hear these days.
If people return to the Original Kingdom Gospel Jesus preached, the miracles will return as well.
This is an excellent free eBook on the difference between the Original Kingdom Gospel and the Pauline gospel substitute we hear these days. It will explain why the miracles went away.

The problem lies in believing that book of lies.
The reason nobody is doing miracles, or that miracles aren't happening today is because they only existed in the buybull which was never meant to be taken literally.
I've always found it funny how a modern civilisation can take an ancient book and totally misunderstand the meaning. Ancient people realised these stories were allegorical and not literal and yet people today don't get this.

Consider how people in the ancient world would express seeing a movie or witnessing 'direct voice phenomena' with a human medium. What about driving on a crowded freeway at rush hour and not being hurt. I've read dozens of book concerning communication from people of other spheres of existence and spiritual healing. Some sources are mentioned below.

The only ones were the Apostles who Jesus entrusted with thy secretes of miracles have all died a martyrs death. So no more miracles until Jesus comes again. That's going to a long wait as his birthday comes every 7,000 years before he will be re-borne under the Bethlehem stare of David.

Miracles in Jesus' day was to show that God was now backing the Christian congregation and not the Jewish system.
Today we have his word the Bible, and it tells us how to identify true Christians.
