reject you, but you didnt know who was causing it - what would you do ?

how would you handle it ?

most people you encountered were aloof with you, stand offish- like they didn't want to get involved with you, but you couldnt pin point anything.....you had nothing concrete to go on.
but you knew something strange was happening....everytime that you talked to people they were, short, abrupt with you.......kept to the point only, otherwise, they didnt reciprocate at all with you, kept thinks very short......used one words answers or single statements to answer you.......they wouldn't eloborate any more.

what would you do in this situation ?

I would realize that person probably doesn't like me much, accept it, and move on with my life. I don't much care what others think of me because if they don't like me for who I am, why bother with them at all?

Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs concerning a perceived threat.

Paranoid personality disorder is characterized by an exaggeration of the cognitive modules for sensitivity to rejection, resentfulness, distrust, as well as the inclination to distort experienced events. Neutral and friendly actions of others are often misinterpreted as being hostile or contemptuous.

BPD symptomology also includes extreme sensitivity to rejection-real or imagined.

Perhaps the individuals you are talking to are strangers or very casual aquaintences and there is no further meaning. Perhaps they lack social etiquette. If they are people who are close to you, perhaps they are trying to not upset you, knowing about your issues.

A conspiracy theory usually attributes the ultimate cause of an event or chain of events to a secret, and often deceptive plot by a group of powerful or influential people or organizations. To think that this is what occuring to you--simply to keep you from having friends--is a bit egotistical, don't you think?

I have been in a situation for life with the in laws lying and I hold my head up high and go straight to the people involved and tell them the truth.
Then I would make a public statement that I no longer want associations with the likes of them for withholding information that would put my family and me at risk for catastrophic endeavors...

I would go home, light a nice fire in my fireplace, grab a good thick book, my favorite blankie, curl up on the couch with my animals next to me, and put on some nice rock and roll music.

As long as I have my non-human friends, music, and a good book, its all good for me!

i would be happy because anyone who would listen to someone else, wasn't my friend in the first place...most people are not that easily brainwashed, and if they are, then they aren't worth having as friends..with friends like that, who needs enemies?
