I was wondering about the newer versions of the XBOX which use the wireless controllers. Can you use the old controllers on this console? ie the non wireless controllers?

There may be a little confusion here. You ask if the wired controllers will work, and they will. I have 2 third party wired controllers I use on my 360 when company comes over.

But, you also say "Can you use the old controllers on this console?". Are you talking about controllers from the original xbox? They will NOT work. The 360 wired controllers use USB connections. The old xbox controllers have a different connection that will not work with a 360.

Not sure about the old ones but you can get Xbox 360 wired controlers for about £10 ($20)

Oh no...do no longer supply them to Gamestop, that place will rip you off way greater advantageous than what you obtain it or what it rather is nicely worth. you will get $40 at ultimate from them and $10 for the skyrim and $4-5 for the different video games. The controllers will choose for $10-15 each. The cables are nicely worth no longer something b/c they pass with the xbox. ultimate shot is on ebay or CL (dont could desire to commerce, in basic terms sell)

Yes. You just plug them into the fron USB ports, that are hidden in the flap on the right or bottom (depending if your console is lying flat or standing upright)
