I absolutely love reading crime books. My favorite authors are: James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, Stephen Leather, Maggie Hudson and Martina Cole. The Book I'm reading at the moment is titled: 'The Bomb Maker' and it's by Stephen Leather, it's fantastic. Happy reading x

I'm not sure about books set in casinos, but Patrica Cromwell writes really great true crime novels. She was once an FBI agent, and now uses her experiences to write really great stories.

You already know about Michael Connelly (he's one of my favorites) but you might also like to try Jonathan Kellerman. He's written a series of books about a child psychologist named Alex Delaware who always seems to get involved in trying to solve a murder or two. The books are almost always set in Los Angeles (like Connelly's Det. Bosch books) and they're pretty good.
