Amazon.com has a feature called "listmania" that lets you see lists of favorite books that other readers have compiled. It's free, but it's kind of hard to find on their main site. You can search Listmania by keyword for the list, so you can search for "fantasy" or "romance" or whatever genre you're interested in, and also for things like "cats" or "music" or "cowboys" or any other subject that might interest you.
