I always save them, most are so beautiful to throw away, I sometimes use them for the next year and the others go to be recycled

Yes, yes I do. I fold them back down and put them all in a larger sack which hangs from a hook in the back of the closet. I buy a few new after the holiday when they are almost giving them away to replace the ones that show wear. I like the idea of recycling the bags and only using some new tissue each year instead of new bags or rolls and rolls of wrapping paper. A couple of years in a row I used comic papers as wrapping.

I can't throw them out so I keep them in a larger bag - I'm a recycler from way back and use them to give to other people or for storing special things. Like you, I'm learning to "let go!", but only of things for which I can't find a use, or which are getting shabby.

Congrats!! it is hard throwing things away..but...I save them also. just put them all into one of the largest bags and store in the basement. Ribbons I don't usually save I just hit the after Christmas sales and stock up.

I re-use the nicest ones, and recycle the rest. Sometimes I
save ribbons. But, mostly I just get rid of them.

Letting go of 'things' can be very freeing. I do not throw out gift bags though; I reuse them.

I do recycle some; others I give to charities as they always need bags.

I felt the same way, boxes and bags! I have three attics to empty this year (we're downsizing) and certainly aren't keeping more boxes and bags!

Hey now!!!!
smart is the name, recycle is the game.. of course you should re use them. why let them sit up in a big dusty box as though you'll eventually use them again .why throw it away that's just not smart..
