I'm planning to shift houses within Bangalore soon, and I wanted to find out how much it costs to hire Movers and Packers. What are reasonable rates? What does the service include? Will they pack/unpack all furniture and all my stuff?

You can contact LINK or LEO Packers. They will reach your things safely. The charges depends on the goods to be carried. They will be engaging on full container only for shifting an household articles. I paid Rs. 7000/- for packing transporting, and unpacking my articles when I shifted in May, 2007. It should cost around that amount only. -

They will pack all your items and transport to the place you want. They will also unpack the items at the destination. However, the rate will depend upon the items to be packed and the place where these are to be transported.

Good choice...if you are in North of north US or Canada. I have been in Bangalore and weather there is very pleasant most of the time. During the months of Dec. Jan.Feb. its pretty cool at night, so you might need light jacket or a swater. In mansoon i.e. June to Sept. you will need good umbralla or raincoat but temperature is warm. Rest of the months Mar.Apr.May are very hot during the day but cool during night. Blankets are only needed in Nov.Dec Jan. months as there are no heating system.Good idea to keep shawl or light jacket handy at all the time in nights out.
