with first pregnancy you start to notice them later on, like 35+ weeks but some women don't notice them at all. I didn't with my first until my midwife actually pointed out to me that I was getting them.
But with my first I had them really really bad from about 7mths (30+ weeks) and it was bloody awful, lol! It felt like labour every second night. Nearly drove me mad!
It really is anybodies guess but if you notice your tummy go rock hard for 30-60 secs and then relax again that is usually a braxton hick.

I had braxton hick from about 20 weeks in my first pregnancy, and from 16 in my second. Some women don't feel them at all, others feel them the whole way through. You maybe having them but just don't know what the sensation feels like. Your belly gets really hard for a few seconds all the way up to the very top of it and then it releases. You may not feel them or by 30 weeks they could come and be painful, Pregnancy is not an exact science so no-one can say what you are having and not going to have while pregnant. But if you don't feel them this time, when you have another baby you are most likely to feel them next because your body has already done it all before.
Hope that helps.

First time pregnancy for me...and I just started noticing them last week at 37 weeks. I felt them for the first time Saturday-December 22nd. I really notice them all the time now that my body is getting closer to labor. It doesn't hurt, but you can definately feel your stomach get tight and you do,,,wierd,,,have to breath through it. It's strange how the body works,,,I was a bit worried I wasn't having any or if that was normal. But they are definately here...and it kind of makes me feel good now,,,because it's been so long-it's kinda nice to actually feel something going on for a change-makes me feel I'm close to delivering and seeing my little one. Good luck to you!

i started feeling them around 30 weeks but every pregnancy is different. some women don't even feel them the way they think they will. sometimes it will just feel like tensing up and some times it will actually hurt. it just depends. don't wish for them though and enjoy your pregnancy. congrats!!!

i felt them at 22 weeks but thats really early, you might not even get them. i know heaps of women who never got them, so you may or may not get them, dnt be concerned if you dont, if you do you usually get them in the last few weeks
