If you post it in a format that is not usual like my area code is xxx and the next three numbers are xxxx and the last for numbers are xxxx. It will stay longer and may not get deleted. But putting your number on this or any web site is a really bad idea. Yahoo is just trying to protect you.

Your phone number is already listed on the internet white pages if it is a listed landline phone. And your address...so be careful who you give your name out to or phone or address...there is reverse phone number, reverse address, and white pages phone number...You only need one of them to find the rest, unless it is a cell phone number or unlisted phone number.
This is not an advertising site...why do you want to post your phone number? Are you a child? You could get into a lot of trouble giving such information out. Pedophiles could then get your name and address from the internet and show up on your doorstep.

Unless your running a business it would be a very unwise move to make. If you are running a business YA will not be a place to advertise. Go to a forum for your business based on location and advertise there.
