This is hard to say because most often when you can't tell the sex of the baby, it's usually a girl. I know that with girls, the view is often obstructed more so than with boys for the obvious reasons of how their genitals are constructed.

Well in my case it was 50/50/ . With my daughter her legs were crossed so we couldn't see. With my son I had about 3 ultrasounds in the later stages or pregnancy and each time we were told we were having a boy. I don't think there are stats on it, just depends on how much of a giving mood the baby is in, lol.

Percents don't really matter because you're baby can't read them anyway...and he/she is the only one to decide which position is most comfortable. It just depends on if you're luck or unlucky. For my last one...every time we had an ultrasound she had her legs crossed! We couldn't find out until I was 36 weeks. It was a real bummer since I wanted to get everything ready in the right colors...and since we didn't know till the end we had to go with beige. (YUCK!) Luckily this time we were able to see "HER" at 24 weeks. Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!

my neice was the only one that didn't show herself on ultrasound out of the very many people I know who have found out the sex. Most of the time they can prod the baby to move and then see what gender they are. Also its about seeing the pelvic structure too, not just if they have a little 'third leg' or not.

I think there would be more people who are told the incorrect gender then not being able to see the gender at all.

I have asked questions like this before too, I was so nervous we wouldn't be able to tell, and I heard so many myths about if you drink Orange Juice or eat chocolate it would make the baby more active because of the sugar. Well yesterday I had my Big Ultrasound, and saw my little baby and she was beautiful. And when they went down to her legs, to check them out and see the gender, she had them spread right open, and it's a girl. What I did before my ultrasound, was drink REALLY cold water (put it in the freezer) about 2 water bottles, and I did try really cold orange juice too... And I don't know if it worked or not, but she was really active and had her legs wide open. Sorry I didn't answer your percentage question.

Funnily enough if your baby constantly keeps the legs closed it is usually a girl. Boys tent to open wide. This is not full proof but personal and family experience has confirmed this. I don't think there is an accurate percentage because they don't do stats on something like that.
