A gaited horse is one that exhibits a gait beyond the normal four that all horses do naturally: walk, trot, canter (or lope) and gallop. Gaited horses might come by these extra gaits naturally (like a Standardbred's pace or an Icelandic Horse's tolt) or they may be trained (like an Andalusian's Spanish walk or a Saddlebred's rack.) So technically speaking, a TB isn't a gaited horse, as a TB isn't considered a gaited breed. Realisticially, though, a TB could prefer to move at a pace like a Standardbred, besides moving at a walk, trot, canter and gallop. So the answer is...yes and no. :)

not generally, but some thorobreds do pace instead of trot. This is usually trained out of them, but some do pace, and that is the basis for most "gaits"
