every girls dream. even if most wont admit it. Being paid millions to walk down that runway wearing thousand dollar designer clothes. A dream for most, and only a reality for a selected few.

so yeah i want to be one.

i know its all about height,

but im 16, 5'6 and 102lbs

im a late developer so is there a chance i could make the height! i want to be tall xx

maybe i should just keep dreaming.

thanks for the positiveness!

sure i completely agree that it would not be all glamour 24, its hard. your up at the crack of dawn and work till crazy hours of the night.

you have to be at your best all the time and deal with the pressure of people telling you that your not good enough, pretty enough, skinny ect ect

but i would really like to think i could handle and succeed despite the criticism.

I would honestly hate to be a model! I'd be so scared to strut my stuff in front of that huge audience and those flashing cameras... Ahh! But I'd sure love to be backstage doing their hair... :)

You're 16 and 5'6, you still have a chance to grow. You're definitely skinny enough. Kate Moss is about 5'7, and she's pretty much the shortest supermodel of today. Most of the other top models are at least 2 inches taller than her. If you're good enough and if you can work hard enough, you can be a model. You're not short enough that you don't have a chance. There are TONS of agencies who will accept you at 5'6 if you can strut and take good pictures. Most girls are done growing by your age, but you never know. You're on the edge, just work to find an agent and you can do it. Don't just give up on your dream or you'll really regret it forever.

Hmm, nice detail "a dream for most, and only a reality for a selected few.."! You are a tad short, if you were 5'7'' then maybe. 5'7'' is the shortest you can be. You certainly are skinny! It also depends on your face, like high cheekbones, big eyes etc. But i think that if it is truly what you want, then go for it! You should know that modelling is not all glamour, most of the time you are not in your home country, spending most of the time in hotels, you have to stay a certain weight all the time, you have to work early and finish work late, you have to watch your skin and keep it looking great, the work is boring, and that's only if you really make it big!!! Only a few models in the whole world get paid millions...

They don´t want to have skinny models anymore didn´t you listen to the news? So how should someone tell you if you could be model without a picture of you? This is what I can tell you:

Models don´t earn millions for one walk they have millions if they done a lot of walks. You must be at least 5´7 for a runway model. Also the height and weight is not all they look for, they´ll look at your face, your body shape and everything. Also you should know it is a very hard business and you have to do a lot of things to get that far. I wish you good luck with your dreams.

How old are you? I admit that I would never wanna be a model...I'm 18 and the only thing I wanna do is settle down, have a family and make a good life for myself. Modelling isn't just all about strutting your stuff on a stage. There is a lot of pressure in the modelling business, staying slim, always looking good, risk of getting into drugs, becoming anorexic/bullimic. That's not what I want...If I were you then I would reconsider how much I wanted to be a model because you obviously only see the glamour side of it.

you definitely seem skinny.. but you are definitely not tall enough for the runway. you maybe could do modeling pictures or commercials for the brands. my grandma stopped growing when she was 19, so you might still grow taller, good luck!

dont wanna shatter your dream but..

just know that theres lots of agency scam in this world
i dont think its easy to just "poofft" and than become one
theres lots of girls wannabe models raped and killed out there

but if thats really what you want to do in life, than i suggest you find a good local agency but if some agency said theyll make you a model easilly..dont believe them

theyre prolly adult entertaintment agencies, if you know what i mean.
=]

good luck
