A similar triangle must have the same *angles* as triangle ABC, but the sides need not be the same as those in ABC.

If the problem asked for a congruent triangle, then you would need all the sides to have the same corresponding lengths.

The easiest example of a similar triangle would be one that has sides that are doubled.

For example, if ABC had angles of 30-60-90 and sides of 10,17,20, you could construct a triangle DEF with angles of 30-60-90 but sides of 20,34,40 instead.

Just draw a triangle of similar angles(all the 3) that of triangle ABC.And label it if needed.

1) draw the triangle ABC on a sheet of paper
2 )fold the paper ones
3)cut that triangle
4) u will get a same triangle

By having three same points on each triangle e.g. side, angle, side, (SAS) angle, angle, side, (AAS) or right-angle, hypotenuse, side, (RHS)
