A fart contains the gas methane produced during digestion of food in the lower gastrointestinal tract. However burbs are a result of air that is taken down the oesophagi and/or carbon dioxide dues to gastric acid reacting with a base (alkaline) in food.
Carbon dioxide isn't flammable but Methane is.
I hope that helps, good luck

The burp is air you swallow by eating and drinking - or carbon dioxide in case of gassy beverages. Inside you guts live many, really many bacteria - mainly E Coli - and it is good that they live there because without of their help you could not digest food. On the other hand they produce gasses, mainly methane and carbon dioxide, in process of helping you digest. methane is a burnable gas. And that is why you can light a fart, but not a burp.

Methane gas is produced from rotting plant material. Methane is the type of gas that your furnace or stove works from; propane has additives.
Methane is produced in your large intestine (colon).
Your stomach is a container (and brief processor) for food. Your small and large intestine does the real work of digestion. Therefore, a burp does not contain methane...but a "fart" does.
Hope that helps.

A burp is just air that went down the wrong tube.
A fart is methane gas.

because the gasses from the "anal extrusion" are produced in the gut where a gas called methane is a by-product if the ingestion process-and so are to some degree flammable-in the case of a burp the gasses are from the stomach where methane is not produced.

I think it is because the methane in a fart is flammable but the gas in coca cola isn't.

Because a fart is gas created on your intestine. You could even figure out a formula for that (even though every fart has its own components based on what you ate.). A burp is only CO2 that was built up on your stomach, it is not unclean (although it can stink sometimes depending on what you eat).

Fart is made up from methane gas from decay material, feces. Methane gas burn. Burp is made up from air that you swallowed when eating too fast and the expelled gas consist of a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen.

Burps get rid of excess carbon dioxide (not flammable and use to put out fires) in the gut, where as farts get rid of excess methane (highly flammable and used in gas cookers) in the gut.

I have no idea why you would want to know such a thing, but here it goes...
when you fart you release many gases (due to normal bacteria in your intestines) one of which is methane. methane is flammable
When you burp you are releasing carbon dioxide which is not flammable
