That's just GROSS........why on earth would you ask a question like this?? I'm hoping that PADS sure means something other then what you have everyone thinking. If not, maybe you should ask your mommy why!!!!

women use pads so that when they have their period it doesn't end up all over the place especially on their clothes as a women there is nothing more embarrassing than that. there are tampons and alot of women wear them during the day and a pad at night to bed. unless your are ever going to need them i wouldn't bother stresing yourself out about them

Think of it as a kind of Nappy for women... better the blood there than all over our bed during the night... some women find Tampons uncomfortable or hard to use.

Sometimes for some evil reason, the blood manages to get around the tampon and gets on the underwear anyway.

TSS is a main reason - some women's bodies are very sensitive to tampons to the point it causes infections
