Which TV network you think has credibility now? ABS or GMA-7 and why?

The commotion started when AGB Nielsen alledgedly tampered and manipulated the panel meters somewhere in Bacolod City according to ABS and pinpointed that GMA-7 was behind this illegal act. On the contrary, GMA denied its accusation and dared ABS to prove the allegation. It's just somewhat indecisive right now because both networks haven't showed their complete findings in order to know which party is telling the truth.

If you were to judge, which of them is right? If possible, please do not just lean on which network you like prior to this incident.

But I think i"m right. It needs the coordination from AGB to make the GMA's illegal act be granted if it were really true that is why ABS filed a case vs AGB which is also included in the fraud. Don't you think, Mr./Ms. Skipper?

neither, both of them have been doing different tricks just to get the advertising moolah. As long as these stations have something to gain by being partial, it reduces their credibility.

If you want credibility, better stick with CNN, BBC and the like.

Cause in the Philippines, the TV stations really care about their ratings and will do anything to get the ratings that they want. Especially GMA-7 that will do the most un-ethical things just so they can get the ratings. As for the truth and fair competition, I agree because we all have to know that the statements that they keep giving us regarding we are number 1 or whatever....we have to know if that is true. I really do hope we end up finding out about the truth behind this!!

GMA or Kapuso network is much more credible (I think).

2005, ABS-CBN claimed that GMA7 is using their news footage. ABS-CBN filed a legal case against GMA. ABS-CBN loss.

2006, Willy Revillame (ABS-CBN) against Joey de Leon (GMA7). We knew Willy loss.

2007, Wowowee scandal. And this AGB Nielsen, were AGB already did claim that those who manipulate were allegedly GMA employees who bears no ID. So, AGB is not directly pointing GMA. But ABS-CBN already concluded AGB's statement erasing the word 'allegedly' and 'no ID' in their papers. I wish ABS-CBN could read and understand what they are filing.

In 2008, What another law suite that ABS-CBN will threw against GMA7?

With that, I knew that ABS-CBN is already down in the surveys. And just want the public to catch their attention. I pity their desperate move.

What else can be cheated here? Election polls, TV ratings?
It's no surprise when it comes to cheating, Philippines is number one that's for sure!
That's the only thing Philippines is good at.. what, yes of course there are so many positive things but i find it hard to give any with all of these cheatings around. It's the way of life here, it's already a culture.

Oh yes, i was never a kapamilya nor a kapuso and never will be. So my answer would be, why do i care? Will it make my life better? It's just a waste of time, sorry.

I'd bet that GMA-7 is right. I used to be a "kapamilya" then, so I know their atitudes. Magaling mamintang ang ABS-CBN, but they can't prove their accusations. Baka nga ang ABS ang nagmanipula ng ratings, e. Hindi istilo ng GMA ang mandaya;istilo yun ng ABS. Why? Kasi alam nilang nahihigitan sila ng GMA. Sa lahat ng pamimintang ng ABS, walang lumabas na totoo. So I prefer to GMA-7.

personally i think this arguing is stupid, true its important that people should know about whats happening but it's impossible to tell which of the two is lying.( i don't watch local shows, i hate it ) but when i saw the news, i'm not really suprise, hell cheating happens all the time whether it's election or ratings. for mei think i 'll just sit back and watch. "kapamilya, kapuso" heck they're fighting over some dumb rating what's so pamilya about that. none of them are right until futher investigations

I wish GMA 7 will push through with their suit against ABS for libel to stop, once and for all, these ugly bickerings between them and so that truth will finally come out as to who is lying or not.

pls allow me to correct you first. AGB Nielsen wasn't the one who did the tampering & manipulation. It was GMA.
HOW? According to them(GMA): Promotional Activity.

Promotional Activities are legal as long as you don't hand in money to 'metered' homes.
BUT, GMA handed in money(P500) to some of the metered homes in the bacolod area.

That is illegal.

Proof: a personnel of AGB said that there was a leakage of which were the metered homes. GMA used that leakage to do the Promotional activities on.

I cannot judge the situation since im not handling the case & as you said, i dont really know all the facts. But from the details i know, GMA has done illegal acts.

GMA wont win against ABS if they'll push through with the libel suit against dos. Why? ABS has NEVER mentioned GMA nor accused them of manipulating ratings results.
It was from an AGB nielsens attorney that directly mentioned GMA.

The problem with AGB is their negligence that a leakage has occured.

Ni hindi nga dinemanda ng 2 ang 7 eh. AGB ang dinemanda nila dahil sa negligence.

I used to be a "kapamilya" but i actually get irritated to them especially to the newscasters! I found out they are also greedy, they are politicKing!
Both of them are wrong! They are just polluting the minds of the people, they say that they are "THE TRUTH!"!
They always judge the government for its mistakes!
Now I noticed that they are the real CHEATER, GREEDY and CRABS!

i'm a kapamilya. but it's hard to tell which station is telling the truth. i really don't know. we'll have to wait for furthermore investigations.
