Or they canceled it? If they're still planning it, are they gonna build it in Badgerys Creek? When do you think they'll build it?

I think they've given up on the idea. Badgery's Creek would have shut down the Bankstown, Hoxton Park and Camden training areas (and probably the smaller aerodromes) and interfered with RAAF Richmond. There is no other suitable land in the Sydney area, and even Badgery's Creek would have needed a huge amount of levelling to make it usable.

Of course they are planning it. The state Labor government does a lot of planning. They also are very good at having inquiries. What they are short on is implementation.

Goulbourn wants it. A fast train to Sydney and Canberra would make it practical. But we don't get it.

There's been no further discussion about this for many years. It may resurface when the next state election looms. Most discussions have been where to build desalination plants and nuclear power stations.

Hubby thinks they cancelled it ...but we are Queenslanders so not real sure fellow aussie!:)
